A short YouTube clip by Peter Vander Wall arguing that a higher volume of incoming leads reduces pressure on sales calls. He contrasts early agency experience—when calls were rare and he felt needy and pressured—with his current situation where steady lead volume lowers the need to close every prospect and reduces anxiety during calls.

Getting enough leads in is going to solve that problem of you don't feel like you have to close every single lead. I remember when I first started my marketing agency I wasn't booking that many calls like I mean shoot I was getting a new call maybe every couple of months right? And so every sales call I was on there was so much pressure on it and then I wouldn't close the client and I'd beat myself up and frankly on the sales call I probably sounded needy because I was trying so hard to book the client versus now on my sales calls I'm much less needy because I know well I've got two more this afternoon if this person doesn't close I know just based on my close rate at least one of these people is going to close right? And so just because I've got the volume of leads coming in that takes so much of that pressure off to where I don't have to close everybody.
