Peter Vander Wall shows how to find video ideas on Instagram: set a timer, scroll Explore for 30 minutes, save posts that catch your eye, then film yourself reacting to them. It's a fast way to make trending content that feels like a conversation.

Here's a content idea for if you don't know what to post. So I want you to set a timer on your phone for 30 minutes and you're going to scroll through the Instagram Explore page and just find posts that are somewhat interesting to you and maybe have something to do with your niche. As you find these posts, you're going to go ahead and save them or bookmark them and then you're going to come back to them later once the 30 minutes is up. Now we're going to go into our bookmarked posts and we're going to go through all of the ones that we bookmarked in the past half hour. And the reason we set a timer is because I don't want this to just be an excuse for you to just scroll for hours and hours and hours and waste a bunch of time. So for each post you're going to create what's called a remake where the original post will play for a couple seconds and then you'll be able to attach a video after that of you reacting or responding to the original video. This is a great way to create a sense of conversation online and keep things from getting one dimensional or one sided. It also feels super relevant because you found these posts on the Explore page and that's all content that's trending or doing really well on the platform right now. Go ahead and give this a try and let me know what you think in the comments below.
