Speaker A says they declared that major but now considers it essentially worthless and even jokes that art history might be more useful; Speaker B argues that six months of full-time business experience teaches more than multiple years of business school, especially practical financial and vetting skills.

My declared degree when I was in college was entrepreneurial management.
Yeah.
And I thought at the time that was the perfect major for me because I knew I wanted to start my own business one day. I just didn't know exactly what. But looking back, I realized that degree means nothing, literally, like the stupidest degree. I think you'd do better with a degree in art history than a degree in entrepreneurial management. Sorry. To all the art majors out there.
Well, I mean, you'll learn more in six months of running a business full time than you will four or five years of business school. Even on the financial side of things, you learn more about what stuff costs, how to vet, you know, potential clients or employees. You learn way more about business being full time in it than you ever would in in however many years of business school.
