A short YouTube monologue by Peter Vander Wall that praises Grant Cardone’s disruptive, attention-seeking approach to entrepreneurship. The speaker argues entrepreneurs should prioritize being known over being liked, advocating loud, brazen self-promotion and expressing unpopular opinions rather than seeking approval.

Here's a lesson I learned from Grant Cardone, and it's something we should all take to heart a little bit more. Grant isn't afraid of being disruptive. He shouts what he believes loudly. He's not afraid to show off his swag. The watches, the private jets, the cars. And he voices unpopular opinions all the time. And the reason for this is that he'd rather be known than liked. He's not concerned with what people think of him, just whether they know about him. And this is something we get wrong as entrepreneurs all the time. We're shallow, we're passive, we go with the crowd. All because we're afraid of people judging us. I'm with Grant. I'd much rather voice my opinions, be loud and brazen, and have a few people disagree with me, because being known is better than being liked.
