Short monologue criticizing LinkedIn activity among accountants: the speaker argues that long LinkedIn posts about tax advice attract mostly praise from other accountants rather than real clients, creating an echo chamber and unproductive networking that feels like a ‘club’ but wastes participants’ time.

LinkedIn is where dreams go to die. Seriously, there's like this circle jerk effect that I do not understand. There's these accountants I follow on LinkedIn where they post, like these really long written posts about tax advice or like new tax law changes that are coming into place and they think they're creating, like, this super helpful content for their ideal client. And their potential clients are going to read this. They're going to go, oh, my gosh, like, this guy really knows what he's talking about. I need to hire him. But what actually happens if you go to the comments is there's just 20 other accountants all commenting like, this is great tax advice or great breakdown. And all of these guys think they're being productive by, like, networking with other accountants in the space, but all they're doing is just standing in a circle, just pulling each other's chain. It's just like this disgusting, like, unproductive, complete waste of time for all these guys. But, you know, at least they feel like they're, you know, part of a club and they're having fun together, I guess.
