Short YouTube video (Peter Vander Wall, uploaded April 22, 2025) advising accounting/tax firms to use the post–tax-season months (spring and summer) to improve their business—tighten offers, marketing messages, and sales processes—rather than coasting, so they avoid returning to survival-mode next January.
Chapters
Most firms spend April through May, basically just like, catching their breath after tax season. But the smart ones, they look at it a little bit differently, because right now, you've got cash and you've got a little bit of time on your hands. And that means this is your opportunity to build. You spent the last three months basically just like, keeping your head above water. Now it's time to actually make progress. But if you just coast through the summer, you're going to end up right back in survival mode come January. We don't want that. Working on your business, tightening up your offer, your marketing message, your sales process. It has to happen now. In fact, if you properly capitalize on this summer, this could be the last year you ever have to prepare a tax return.
