A short YouTube monologue advising creators/business owners to build trust by sharing personal experiences, values, and business stories rather than purely teaching. Includes a concrete action: write two columns labeled “Know” and “Trust” to list what people should know about you and what would make them trust you (social proof, values, past experiences).

But a lot of people don't understand how this trust building process works. And I like to frame this as sharing instead of teaching. Sharing things you've done in your business instead of teaching, sharing your personal life, your personal values, things like that, instead of trying to teach. And if you come at it on a more peer to peer level while still maintaining a little bit of that sense of authority, of I know what I'm talking about because I've been there, done that, then that's where you're really going to stand out. And so if you take one action item away from this video, I would challenge you right after you finish watching to pull out a piece of paper and, and write two columns. Label the first column no and label the second column Trust. In the first column, write down all the things that people should know about you. In the second column, write down all the things that people might see that would make them trust you. This could be social proof. This could be values that you hold. This could be painful past experiences that have informed the way you do business today. There's a lot of different ways you could frame this. But at the end of the day, you want people to not only know you. That's important, but it shouldn't be the only thing. You want them to also trust you.
