A short YouTube monologue (by Peter Vander Wall) advising entrepreneurs to thoroughly vet business partners. The speaker says they currently have no partners and would be extremely careful before adding one, prioritizing shared values and complementary skills rather than personal likability.

The lesson here is to vet your business partners way more than you think is necessary. Right. Even differences on the way you think things should be run. When you find these things out halfway into building this thing, it's really, really difficult when it falls apart and it becomes apparent this is no longer viable. And so, currently, today, I don't have any business partners. I don't intend on having any business partners in the near future. And if I was to bring a partner into the business or start a new business with a partner, I would be so much more incredibly careful about who I'm bringing into this. I'm not just bringing in somebody that I really enjoy being with. I'm bringing somebody in because they actually share the same values I have, and they have a complimentary skill set to the skills that I bring to the table.
