Work Smart, Not Hard #shorts

Raise your prices first. Double a $2,500 fee and keep half your clients, you make the same money with fewer people. Once prices are high enough, cut delivery time and actually work less.

If you're too busy to take on new clients. This is a common problem in professional service type businesses, especially early on when it's just you. There's really two strategies you can use to continue increasing your income without increasing the number of hours you have to work. So strategy number one is pretty straightforward. You just need to raise your prices. Alright, so imagine you're charging $2,500 a year for tax planning. What would happen if you doubled your price to $5,000? Let's say at $2,500, you're booking 10 clients a month. If you're going to get at least 50% the number of clients, then that means you're making the same amount of money or more. Now the other strategy comes a little bit later, after you've already raised your prices to a sufficiently high enough level. And this is to leverage your offer. So instead of raising the price you're charging your clients, you're decreasing the amount of time you're spending delivering that service. So either way, you're making more money while working less. And this is how you continue to scale your firm. If you think you're too busy to take on more clients.
