YouTube video (Peter Vander Wall) discussing business growth strategies: prioritize delivering measurable results for clients and product quality before relying on ads. The speakers emphasize that satisfied clients will refer others and make repeat purchases, and that getting "good at something" (product/result) is more important than initial ad skill for sustainable growth.
More importantly than getting good at ads, get good at producing a result for your clients, because the clients that you get good results for will tell other people.
And they'll keep buying more.
And they'll keep buying more. Exactly.
So they need to work more on product and ads.
Like, get good at something.
All right. It really bothers me that people think this works. You cannot scale your business with ads if you're not already undeniably good at the thing you do. Like, the biggest green flag for a business that should be running ads is, is they get a ton of referrals, and they get a ton of word of mouth. And a lot of times, maybe they've even grown to a million or a couple million bucks a year just from that. If you can do that just completely organically and you scale that with ads, it's gonna be really easy to grow to 5 or $10 million a year. But if you're still struggling along 200, 300, 400K, you haven't developed a reputation that you're undeniably and inarguably good at what you do, and you try running ads to that. If it works, it's gonna work just barely, and it's not gonna be sustainable and scalable for the long haul.
