In this short self‑help video, mindset coach Praful Dandgawal addresses the common experience of midnight overthinking that keeps many adults awake. He opens with vivid examples of racing thoughts and cites a study indicating that 72% of adults struggle to sleep because their minds won’t shut off. Praful then presents his proprietary REST formula – a four‑step sleep hack designed to quiet the mind and promote natural sleep. The steps are: (R) Release – write all lingering thoughts on paper; (E) Engage – practice the 4‑7‑8 breathing pattern; (S) Shift – use peaceful imagery or a calming mantra to redirect focus; (T) Trust – avoid forcing sleep and let the body take over. Each step is explained with practical tips and a brief rationale. The video concludes with Praful’s personal branding, positioning himself as a mindset and transformational life coach who helps ambitious professionals and early‑stage entrepreneurs rewire overthinking, build emotional resilience, and achieve success. The overall purpose is to provide an actionable, easy‑to‑follow method for overcoming nocturnal rumination while subtly promoting his coaching services.

Hey, it's midnight, and by now you should be peacefully asleep. But instead, your brain has some other plans. Did I send that email to the right person? What if my boss didn't like my report? Did I turn off the gas? Oh my God, I forgot to text back my friend. Doesn't it sound familiar? Friends, welcome to the Midnight Overthinking Marathon, where the only prize is dark circles and the regret next morning. If you're stuck in this cycle, you're not alone. Studies say 72% of adults struggle with sleep because their minds just won't shut up. And let's be real, your brain at midnight is like that one noisy auntie who only shows up to remind you about your worst decisions in life. And the worst part? You wake up feeling like a zombie— low on energy, drowsy, and at times irritated— which leads to an unproductive day. So, enough is enough! Let's put your brain on DND mode with my REST formula, your ultimate sleep hack. So, let's start. R, release the thoughts. Dump it all out. Grab a notebook or a page, and not your phone please. Start writing down everything running in your head— work-related stuff, conversations bothering you, tomorrow's to-do list, grocery reminders, etc., etc. Trust me, If it's on paper, your brain would keep replaying it. E, engage in a 4-7-8 breathing pattern. So here's a trick. You have to inhale for 4 seconds, then hold it for 7, and then exhale for 8. So this tells your body it's time to switch. Do this 3 to 4 times and you'll feel the difference. S, shift your focus. Your brain can't stress and relax at the same time. So imagine a peaceful place or a situation, maybe a beach in Goa, a cozy hill station in Mahabaleshwar, or maybe any mantra which makes you relax. Let your mind wander there instead. Last, T— Trust the process. The harder you force sleep, the more it runs away. So just relax, follow these steps, and let your body do its job. And just like that, if you are no longer the CEO of Midnight Overthinking Private Limited, Goodness, you're back in control! Hey, I'm Praful, mindset and transformational life coach. I help ambitious professionals and early-stage entrepreneurs like you to master your mindset and manifest wealth. If your brain refuses to switch off at night, it's time to take charge. And my coaching helps you rewire overthinking, build emotional resilience, and take charge of your success, professionally and personally. Remember, your thoughts should be working for you and not against you. So let's make that happen. And ha, stop overthinking about that overthinking.
