Fixed v/s Growth Mindset || Praveen calvin || Divya Thampi || Leadership council meeting

The recording captures a bilingual (Tamil/English) interactive workshop led by productivity coach Divya Thampi, moderated by Praveen Calvin, for a community focused on personal development. Divya introduces herself, shares her own journey from a fixed to a growth mindset, and explains the concepts of mindset using research (the classic jigsaw‑puzzle study with 4‑year‑olds) and everyday examples. The session explores how fixed mindsets arise—through schooling, fear of judgment, need for superiority, and labeling—and how they manifest as procrastination, self‑doubt, and avoidance of challenges. Growth mindset principles are presented: belief that abilities can be developed through effort, strategy, and help; courage to try, learn from mistakes, and seek feedback. Practical strategies include taking imperfect action, accelerated learning, and seeking mentors regardless of age. Real‑life anecdotes (a student’s suicide attempt, PV Sindhu’s training routine, a 24‑year‑old’s career dilemma) illustrate the stakes of mindset. The workshop is highly interactive, with frequent polls, chat responses, and audience reflections, culminating in a Q&A and encouragement to apply the concepts.

It's very interesting that all of you have already done your research on what mindsets are, what is a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. I thought I'll put together a few slides to give you an insight into it. However, you can also tell me and Praveen, I'll request you to do this as well. In case you feel that I'm getting into details which they probably already know, you can let me know because then I can pause and maybe just take questions and answers. So let me start quickly introducing myself. You can see me already. I'm a smart productivity coach. And my aim is to help people achieve their goals five times faster. Everyone has dreams, but not goals. So my job is to make people's dreams into goals and help them achieve that goal five times faster. If they were to do it on their own, it might take them a year to actually achieve that goal. But if I work with them, I will help them with a process that will allow them to achieve that in probably two months' time or three months' time. I've trained about 15,000 people from across the world in physical sessions. I've had 2,500 coaching and counselling conversations with people over the years. Conducted more than 650 video sessions with a subscriber base of 2,30,000 on a health and fitness platform. I am an alumni of IIM Bangalore and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. I am a Fit India Ambassador for Emotional Wellness and I have been awarded one of the top ten trainers in a community of 22,000 coaches and trainers. That's a little about me. நான் இதக்கா பரயான் காரணம் is not to brag and not to tell you how great I am. The reason I'm telling you this is it hasn't always been like this. It's not like I achieved everything very easily and I was always this achiever. That wasn't the case. For the longest period of time, I had a fixed mindset which I did not know about. I was functioning from a fixed mindset. Because I was like, why did nobody tell me about a growth mindset? That's great. The last one is the need to feel superior to others. Let me give you an example. Personally, I have been in that space where I had the need to feel superior to others. Like if I am in a room of trainers, I don't think consciously. But at the back of my mind, I am thinking, how do I make myself look better than everybody else? So I'm not focusing on doing my best and enjoying that whole situation. But my thought process was, how do I prove, how do I convince everybody in this room that Tizia is the best? Whether I was doing a video, whether I was doing a training program, whether I was doing a presentation. And I thought that was a good thing. It is much later that I understood that there is a difference between wanting to beat others versus wanting to do something really well. So you will understand this a little better as I go through the description. So let me come back. Let me share with you a small study that was done. Somewhere in the 1980s, there was a study that was conducted. How many of you know of a jigsaw puzzle? If you know jigsaw puzzle, write JP in the chat box. You can redo the same jigsaw puzzle and complete it later. Else we will give you a second jigsaw puzzle which is a little harder. Now what I found was that a majority of the children decided that they wanted to do the same jigsaw puzzle that they had done before. This is when the researchers realized that all children function from two kinds of thought processes, two kinds of mindset. One what is referred to as a fixed mindset and one what is referred to as a growth mindset. But what they also went on to find is that this mindset not only exists in children but it also exists in adults. In fact, it is more obvious in adults. The older you grow, the more in-depth it becomes. நம்மல்ல எல்லாவரும் every single one of us is born with a growth mindset. So first of all, let's understand what is a mindset. Mindset என்ன வரஹநது is basically a set of attitudes and beliefs that people hold which results in their worldview. For example, there may be a thought process that I may have is that, to believe people is a belief. Generally, people in this world are good at believing. Otherwise, a thought process is that people in this world are not good at believing. These are two different belief systems. So how do we look at the world? That is the mindset. How do people see themselves? Now, நம்மளில் பலவரம I can see that some of you think of yourselves as extroverts and some of you think of yourselves as introverts. Now, this itself is a label. We have made ourselves believe that I am either an extrovert or an introvert. Just now someone said that I am an extrovert and sometimes an extrovert. Abhijith said that I am sometimes an introvert and sometimes an extrovert. இப்பம் நீங்கள் ஆலோயிச்சு நோக்கியால் தன்னே, நீங்களுடைய ஜீதத்தில் பல ஸிடுவேஷண்ஸ் காணும் where you like interacting with people and there are situations where you don't like interacting with people. So the reality is that you don't fit into any one box. You are neither an extrovert nor an introvert and this applies to everybody. Because every single one of us has situations where we like to socialize and every single one of us has situations where we don't like to socialize. Now let's look at what is the difference between a Fixed Mindset and a Growth Mindset. So let me actually stop here and ask you, okay? Let me ask, you guys have done the research already, right? Can anybody tell me what according to you is a Fixed Mindset? So anybody who would like to say this can put your hands up. I can see Manu who has put his hand up. So I'm going to... Yeah, Praveen, can we just unmute him for a moment?
Yeah, the mic is on. So we'll just...
Yeah, so we'll take 2-3 people, responses from 2-3 people and move to the next slide. So go ahead, Manu. What according to you is a fixed mindset?
First of all, very good evening Divya ma'am.
Good evening.
Actually, I can't turn on my video because I'm in a restriction.
No worry.
So, I'll tell you in the video itself. I first understood that this concept came from Mr. Praveen. Right. So, fixed mindset and growth mindset. This is what he said. But I searched for the reverse. Growth mindset and fixed mindset. Okay. So, I first understood that growth mindset is जीविदम ऎन्नपरयन्न। பிக்ஸர் பயல் ஸிட் என்று மனத்து அது நமக்கு இந்த over, கழஞ்சிரிக்கும் என்ன ஒரு feel ஆன mix-up mindset என்று வருந்தான். growth mindset என்று வரயம்போழு, நமக்கு try சைய்யானங்கில், may be அது hard work ஆவா,

So now I have a fixed mindset around it. I'll give you a more common example. Lot of people say I'm not a very technological person. Give me a hands off if you have ever experienced it. And what I have personally seen, now that I interact with a lot of people who are doing similar kinds of things that I do, I have seen people grow from never using a computer to being amazing digital coaches and teaching other people how to run digital businesses. That's all it takes. Why that person is able to do is because they have a growth mindset. So let's look at the definition as well. Your mindset doesn't make you a good person or a bad person. Mindset is a result of all the experiences that we have had in our lifetime as we were growing up. अपो फिक्स मैंसेट लि बिलीप उण्ण मरय that I need to keep proving everyday that I am very intelligent, I am very capable and I have a great personality. Now, this becomes challenging. Why? Because if I have to prove that I am intelligent, then anything that I do, I should be able to do well. Right? Whether it is technology or sales or socializing with people, if I am intelligent, I should be able to do it. Right? Not just to learn new things, but to try new things. I am unwilling to try new things. You may have heard people say things like, I don't like this food or I don't wear this kind of clothes. They don't think of themselves as old-fashioned. Even you and me have done things like this. Why do we do this is because we don't want to take the risk. We don't want to take the risk of being seen as less intelligent. Because whenever you try something new, you're bound to make mistakes. You're bound to do things imperfectly. You're bound to, like you make your first video, it's not going to turn out very well. But hey, it's not meant to turn out very well because you're doing it for the first time. So then if you are functioning from a fixed mindset, you don't want to try anything new because there is a possibility that other people may judge you. So if you have only a certain amount of intelligence, a certain personality, a certain moral character, then it automatically becomes important that you prove that you have a healthy dose of each of these. Where does this mindset come from? It mainly comes from our schooling. Who are the teachers who consider students to be intelligent? What is the basis on which a student decides whether he is intelligent or not? Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal intelligent Marku kittiyal But the only thing intelligent that you are getting judged on, gauged on, is your marks. If you get a mark, you are intelligent. If you don't get a mark, you are unintelligent. So what is the priority of every student? You have to get a mark somehow. Whether you have studied or not, whether you have copied or not, you have to get a mark. If you get a mark, you are intelligent. If you don't get a mark, you are unintelligent. So you see what's happening is that we are being trained in fixed mindset. Because people are not paying attention to whether you are really learning something or not. And what happens in class is that if you make mistakes, do you get appreciated for it or you get told off for it? Normally what happens is that you make mistakes. So we are constantly discouraged from making mistakes. So you see the training that we are going through. So it's not our mistake that we have fixed mindset. We have been trained continuously in fixed mindset. Entrance ni kittiyal, you are very good. Entrance ni kittiyile, you are no good. Nalla joli kittiyal, you are very good. Nalla joli kittiyil, you are no good. Karekta samayathini kalyanam nadunalal, you are very good. Karekta samayathini kalyanam nadunalal, you are no good. Kutti undayal, you are very good. Kutti undayal, you get the picture? So that is how we are getting trained in FIXED MINDSET. So it's not our fault. Our job is to understand where we are functioning from FIXED MINDSET and move over to GROWTH MINDSET. So what is a growth mindset? A growth mindset is where people believe that their abilities, their intelligence can be developed through effort, strategy and help from others. See, you know, growth mindset, first thing about growth mindset is courage. The courage to try things. Anybody who has the courage to dream and set big goals and go after the goals, no matter what their capability, no matter what their intelligence, will succeed one day. So first point is cult. Now second point, often times we think, you know, a lot of hard work. Yes, you need to put in hard work. There needs to be effort. But just hard work is not going to get you the results. You need the right strategies. And you need help from others. If you look at any successful person under the sun, you will see that every opportunity they get, they will reach out for help from people who know better. But if I function from a fixed mindset, I don't want to be seen as somebody who doesn't know something. So I will not ask any questions. I will not even take a mentor because I am the best. So I will keep doing things, it's not working, this is not working, then I get dismissed very easily. But growth mindset is that I'm willing to learn, I'm willing to make mistakes, I'm willing to fail because it is through mistakes and the failure that I learn. I'm willing to change strategy. I'll give you an example. Recently I was speaking to a student, not a student in fact, like a 24-25 year old guy. He recently got a job with a company. He had done his MBA and his whole goal throughout MBA was that he wanted to be in HR. The reason he was calling me up was because a few days ago he had attempted suicide.
He
eventually decided not to do it. And the reason why he decided to attempt suicide was because when he spoke to me, what he said is, I joined this MBA purely because I wanted to be in HR because I love HR and I want to work in HR and I studied so hard, I prepared so hard. And then when interviews happened, there were no placements for HR. So eventually he got in another company, a good company, which gave him a good salary and took him in IT. So he took that on because the interviewer, he was speaking to the interviewer and the interviewer told him that, don't worry, because he said he is interested in HR, the interviewer told him, don't worry, after a year or so, I mean after you work for some time, you can apply internally for a post in HR. So he took that on and a month or so in the job and somebody told him, couple of people told him, no, no, no, internal posting and all doesn't happen for three years. and he decided that life was not worth living. Now, I'm sure that most of us who are sitting here are able to look at him and say, what? What are you thinking? There are 10,000 companies, million companies, you can get a job anywhere. You didn't get a job now, but there are so many ways to get a job that you want. You can start a company of your own, right? But this is exactly what happens with most of us. We set a goal, We try in our way. No help from anybody. This is what I'm going to achieve. We try and it's so difficult and we're not moving forward. We have bad days and then after sometime we think, I'm not cut out for this. This is not my cup of tea. Don't say anything to me. Quietly close that chapter and live a so-called normal life. This behavior is also coming from a fixed mindset. Because we're not willing to change our strategy. We are not willing to take help. That also comes from a fixed mindset. How many of you have experienced this, that you try something a lot and a lot of hesitation to ask for help? Have any of you experienced that? Yeah, let me know by typing a me in the chat box. I have experienced that a lot. A lot of difficulty in asking for help. So that's coming from the fixed mindset. So a growth mindset is people believe that their abilities, intelligence can be developed through effort, strategy and help from others. People with growth mindset try harder. They want to learn and try new strategies and they seek out feedback and help when they are stuck. Now how fixed mindset... So one of the main things with fixed mindset, it reduces your speed drastically. By not taking action, you may not get what you want. So whether it is fame, money or recognition, if you don't take action towards your goals, no matter how deep and whatever, we have to take imperfect action. So when we don't take action, it's not about you may not, actually you will not get what you want. But by taking the action, you risk the loss of something you already have, something even more important. Let's say you have to run an FB ad on your own. Let's say you have to create a course. What is the risk? Let's see if anybody can think of what is the risk. Anybody wants to unmute themselves and tell me what, you know, if you have an answer, what according to you is the risk? Yeah, so the risk is... Okay, fair enough. Actually, do you know what the risk is? Did anyone talk about it? I'm so sorry. No? Okay. Risk? Correct. See, Chitra said, what if nobody buys? But even worse, Chitra, what if people think, my God, what a horrible course? Has anyone ever felt like that? After I made it, people will think, oh my God, who made this course?

How many of you have experienced self-doubt? Constantly questioning your ability. Write SF in the chat box if you have experienced self-doubt. Okay. Write SF if you have experienced that. Many times. Absolutely. Thank you so much for those of you who are responding to this and letting me know that you have experienced this. Thank you so much and congratulations. Because the first step to moving from fixed mindset to growth mindset is acknowledging that we have to feel. I told you, we have all been programmed into fixed mindset, not our fault. But now that we get to know more about growth mindset, we have an opportunity to change over from the fixed mindset to growth mindset. So let's come back to this. So what happens is, whenever you have an opportunity to do something new, which could possibly take you forward, you have two options. You either have the option of not doing it at all, or doing it and failing, which means you do it badly, you make mistakes, you do all of that. Now which do you think you should choose? Write ND or DF. One of these. Do you think you should not do something at all, which is difficult to do, or you should do and fail? Only 2-3 people are responding. I want more people to respond to this. Everybody agrees that it's better to do and fail. But you know what? In real life, when opportunity comes, we theoretically know that it is better to do and fail. But what do we practically do? In reality we will not do it at all. We will keep procrastinating. So we will keep moving it. We will keep avoiding it because of that fear that I am not good enough. So fear of failure is what leads to procrastination. So lot of times people tell themselves that I am a very lazy person. No, you are not a lazy person. Nobody is a lazy person. Because if you are a lazy person, you would not be doing a lot of other things that you do today which you enjoy doing. If you enjoy playing with your child and you play on a regular basis and still you are procrastinating some other work, you are not a lazy person because you are playing with your child. That's not what a lazy person does. You are doing a lot of other things which requires a lot of work. You are doing all that. That means you are not a lazy person. But you are scared. You are scared of not being good enough. And hence you keep procrastinating things which are important. And that is coming from the fixed mindset. Fixed mindset leads to fear of failing. So let's look at how mindset impacts your performance and productivity. So, let's start with mindset. What is a mindset? It is a belief system, right? For example, if I have a fixed mindset, my belief is that my talent and abilities are fixed. There are certain things that I am good at, there are certain things that I am not good at. So, with this belief, when I come to do something new, the thought process that goes through my mind is, if I can't do this well, the first time I try, I must be lacking talent and intelligence. How many of you have experienced this? ஒரி பரயஷம் நீங்கள் எந்திங்களையும் try சேய்து, நன்னாய் போய்ட்டிலா, and then you think to yourself, oh, it's not my type of thing. Let's take simple things, cooking. You've never cooked before, you tried first time. I mean, I'm giving you the example of cooking, but there are so many things in life where we tell ourselves that, you know, I don't have it in me. This is not my thing. There are other things that I'm good at. You want to do only those things which make you feel safe, right? That is coming from a fix method. So what's happening here is when you tell yourself, if I can't do this well the first time I try, I must be lacking in intelligence. Let's look at what feeling it creates in you. So it creates feelings of anxiety, feelings of fearfulness, feelings of dejection. So it's about what is the story you're telling yourself. So if the story you're telling yourself is, I'm not really good at this, then immediately the next thought is, oh, this is very hard for me. So then you're feeling anxious. You're feeling like, oh, I don't know. And you're feeling very discouraged. Now you don't have energy. As a result, what is it that you end up doing in action? I am not good at this, so I don't want to try this. So you see how your belief system leads to your thoughts and your thoughts lead to feelings and feelings lead to response. Let me give you a simpler example. Simpler example is, if your belief is that people cannot be trusted, generally in the world people cannot be trusted and you are meeting somebody for the first time and you need to ask them for some help. Will you be asking them for help with an open mind? Will you be able to get the help that you want to get from them or will you not be able to get the help
that you want?
You believe that people are not trustworthy. You believe that people are out to cheat you. You believe that people are out to betray you. It's very hard to get the help because let's say that I believe that people are not trustworthy. So let's pick up Chitra. So when I'm speaking to her and I'm asking her a question, you can already see in my body language I don't trust her. I said, Chitra, can I ask you something? Do you know anything about this? Chitra can already sense that I am asking her very judgmentally. She doesn't know that my belief system is... But she is not feeling very close to me. She is not feeling like I trust her. She may help me, she may not help. Or for that matter, if I believe that people cannot be trusted, I will not ask the question, I will not even ask for help. So you see how my beliefs lead to my thoughts, my thoughts lead to my feelings, my feelings lead to... Similarly, if I believe people cannot be trusted, I will be very hesitant to go out and socialize. I will be very hesitant to go out for events. Why? Because it's like, oh, people have all that small talk, everybody is lying all the time. Now what are you feeling? When you think all of that, you're feeling, oh, gosh, you're already feeling drained, tired. I'd rather sit at home and watch a movie. So that's what happens with your belief systems. So coming back to this, So a fixed mindset makes you ask questions like this. Every time you are trying anything, you will ask yourself questions like, will I succeed or fail? Will I look smart or dumb? Will I be accepted or rejected? Will I feel like a winner or will I feel like a loser? And if the answer to any of these questions is the second, you will stop even trying. If you feel like, if I try to be an FB ad for the first time, if it doesn't become a success, oh my God! I'll feel very disappointed. I'd rather have somebody else do it for me. I'll be dumb. Whenever you're trying something new, let's say you're trying to learn a music instrument. When you're trying to learn it, you're going to make mistakes. You're not going to play music beautifully the first time you're trying a song. Of course not. All those people that we see who are exceptional performers, they put hours and hours and hours of consistent effort along with a coach. They have made hundreds and millions of mistakes and corrected those mistakes to reach the position that they have. Let me ask you this. Have you heard people say things like, I am bad at remembering names? எ Yes, absolutely. Every single one of us will remember. So what happens is suddenly you will develop the talent for remembering names. If you are not able to remember names, it's because you are not interested in remembering those names. It's as simple and plain as that. It's not about your ability or talent. But let's say you meet somebody, if there are children, small children, and they remember their friends' names. And then you tell that child, you are so good at remembering names. Now the child feels proud. I am good at remembering names. Next time, whenever the child meets anybody, the child will make a conscious effort to remember all the names. Because now they have started taking pride in the fact that they are good at remembering names. There is no difference in the capability, there is no difference in the ability, there is no difference in the skill. But it is a belief system. So, yeah, let's come back to this. I already used this example. I am bad at technology. I am a restless person. I get distracted very easily. How many of you have said this? Write D in the chat box if you have ever told yourself that I am somebody who gets distracted very easily. It is very difficult for me to focus. It
is very difficult for me to sit
in one place and do something. Thank you. Thank you, Sajith. Looks like Sajan is the only person. Manu, Abhijith, thank you so much people. So actually restlessness is not a personality trait. Introverted and extroverted is not part of your personality trait. Stop telling yourself that you are introverted or I am only extroverted. Stop telling yourself all those things. You can be introverted when you want to. You can be extroverted when you want to. You can socialize when you want to. You can choose not to socialize when you don't want to. But don't lay yourself and put yourself into a category. Now growth mindset, the question that people generally ask before they do anything is, if I do this, will I learn something new? If I do this, will I grow? Will I become a better person? Will I have more skills? Will I develop more capabilities as a result of doing this? So let's say that you have never done a video before, but after you have done two bad videos, who will be better? Somebody who has done two bad videos or somebody who has not done videos
at all?
A or B. Someone who has done bad videos, after they have done the second video, they are way better than the person who has not done videos at all. Because they have learnt a lot in the process. If I have to do a video, I first have to write down some points. If I have to do a video, I have to get used to looking at the camera lens. If I have to do a video, I need to have a background that looks good. And all these things will come only when you do it and make mistakes. Sorry. So what is worth doing is worth doing badly. So if you have goals and dreams which are big, which are very important to you, start doing things badly, immediately. So your aim should not be perfection. Your aim should be excellence, but over a period of time. Initially, your aim should not be excellence. Your aim should be to just do. You're creating a course, create a course. Like even if it's done badly, create one. Because once you've created a bad course, now you know how to create a good course. At least you know how to create a better course. All of you know PV Sindhu, right? She is a badminton player. She has won at the Olympic level. So there was a report about her. And the reporter said, the fact that she reports on time at the coaching camps daily, travelling a distance of 56 km from her residence is perhaps a reflection of her willingness to complete her desire to be a good badminton player with the required hard work and commitment. So PV Sindhu didn't become an Olympic level badminton player because she came gifted, born with a badminton. No. She's put in long hours. She's overcome a lot of obstacles. Travelled 56 kilometres on a daily basis two ways. I mean, that's not a small feat to do, right? And her own coach said, Gopinath, I think. He said, the most striking feature in Sindhu's game is her attitude and her never-say-die spirit. She is okay with making mistakes. She is okay with having failures. But she is constantly focused on how do I get better. She is willing to do the practice. She is willing to change her strategies. People who win are the ones who are willing to put in the effort despite initial mistakes, failures, and below par performance. So we should be aiming at becoming that person who is willing to make mistakes, who is willing to go through failures. He is able to do what he is able to do because every அவர்கள் அந்த அவர்கள் அந் single day he practices for 4-5 hours. Every single day. I was once watching his interview and he said that there is not a single bone in my body which has not fractured at least once. That's what it takes. But what are we seeing? He is such a talented guy. So sign of fixed mindset, mistakes are seen as a sign of stupidity or lacking of intelligence, which is not true. Another sign of fixed mindset, need to feel superior. நான் ாக்யல்லாயகால் ஏதம் ஆண் என்று காணிக்காணுளே, that requirement also comes from fixed mindset. Actions arising from the fixed mindset, avoiding challenges, giving up in the face of difficulties, being highly self-critical. You know, when you start telling yourself, oh you again made a mistake, oh Divya, you are good for nothing, you are always doing it. You don't have to say anything else. We will say it and make it a habit. Then there is no energy to do it, no confidence, no courage. How many of us have experienced this? When we see another person achieving, we feel bad. I can't tell you how many times I have experienced this. He did it. She also did it. Because for me, other people doing it was a sign that I was not good enough and everybody is better. That has changed now. That has totally changed. Now when I see other people doing and doing well, I'm like, wow, they can do it. I'm sure I also can do it. I'm more associated with people doing a lot of things. That's a good sign. The difference between a master and அவர்களின் a beginner is அவர்களின் அவர்களின் அவர்களின் that the master has failed more number of times than the beginner has even tried. So if you are talking about a Mohanlal or a Moorthy and we are saying they are such amazing actors, one take actors. But how did they get there? It's because they have tried so many things and they have failed so many. They have been willing to make those mistakes and go through those failures. And now they are at a place where they have developed that high level of expertise. But when I am a beginner, I am looking at them and comparing directly. Oh, look at them. They are so good. They are so talented. But look at me. But there is no comparison, right? They have put in so much of effort. If you are willing to put in the effort, you will get there too. So I think I will kind of stop here. Yeah, I think I was kind of doing this session for a while. But I want to pause here and take any questions that you have. If you would like to share any of your takeaways, like something that really stood out for you, or if you want to ask a question, please feel free to do that. Thank you, Shailesh. Thank you so much.
Thank you. It was a mind-blowing session. Even though I was going through the Fixed Mindset, many videos, I never get this information. So mind-blowing information. It was wonderful the way you explained directly into the mind. Thank you. Thanks a lot.
It was a great session. Is this Shailesh
that was speaking? Yes, this is Shailesh.
Thank you so much, Shailesh, for that.

to know about the
fixed mindset and the two mindsets after coming to this class with Praveen sir. As ma'am explained, there are two things that define us, the senses and the growth. I am very happy to hear that.

I think it takes a lot of courage to acknowledge and talk about the difficulties we have gone through. Like I said before, I am able to share all of this and give the examples because I have gone through that myself. So it doesn't give a lesser person just because you have been functioning from a fixed mindset. So fixed mindset is also not a fixed thing, right? We can change fixed mindset. It's a mindset that we adopted and it is possible to change and it's so beautiful to hear you talking about how you are able to... The first point of change is knowing that something exists.

Hi, I'm Sajith. Hi, Sajith. Actually, last கొரஞ First time, when I was asked to do a YouTube video, I compared it with people who had watched it and realized that it was not possible to do it the same way. So I changed that idea. When it came to a training field, I didn't say anything about Tharaj. I saw the coaching of such people. When I saw that, I thought that I could do it somehow. Thank you so much for sharing that and
I want to just share a simple thing, a simple tip which I learnt from Russell Brunson. He said that when we try to make a course on digital products, we compare it with other people who are experts at doing that already. The thing is, the people who are going to learn from you are people who don't know as much as you do. And most of us want to learn from somebody who understands our problems and challenges. So somebody who is just one or two steps ahead of us, I'd rather learn from that person because that person understands. I can go to a Russell Brunson who is like a mogul in this area. But the thing is, he is already such a big expert. I feel like there is a lot of difference between him and me. So I would really like to learn from somebody who understands me, who is able to give me a little more attention and all of that. So remember that whatever you are producing, there are a whole bunch of people waiting to learn from you. Because what you bring to the table, nobody else can.
Thank you. Hi ma'am. Hi. I'm Shamanth here. Hi Shamanth. Ma'am, it was a wonderful session. You started talking about the puzzles and each point made me feel like I was there again. Welcome to the club. Yeah. So one thing to do is to remember that if you end up comparing because I think it's a natural tendency for most people to compare, is that don't limit your comparison to just one area of life. If they are doing things in certain
areas
of your life which you are not able to do, also remind yourself about the things in other areas of your life which you are able to do and which you are not able to do.

Divya, can you tell us a story about Shamas? Shamas was 19 years old. He was running a family business. Suddenly a big business went to a peak. father பற்றின்னு He பற is one of the best in his area. He is a gem and keep going
The thing is, this narrative that experience comes with age is not the correct narrative. Experience comes with doing. My mentor is 40 years old and I am 44 years old. He's way ahead of me and today I'm willing to learn. There was a time when I was functioning from a fixed mindset and my thing was that I will only learn from people who are older to me. Because I was coming from that place of how experience, you know, you have to have years of experience. You can have years and just grow old without getting better. Agree? Don't agree. Right? You can turn 70 without any, you know, awareness and wisdom of how to do things. So if you got into it at 19, you know my mentor says something called accelerated learning. What is accelerated learning? Is that... Normally we say that we spend one hour or half an hour a day on experience. Or we learn because we do. Accelerated learning is when you intentionally learn every day. You learn theoretically, you learn by applying, you learn by trying, you learn by making mistakes. And in a matter of, you know, in a month, you have as much experience as a person would have in a year. Okay. So what you are doing is accelerated learning. But not everybody understands that concept. And it's okay. So be kind to them. They don't know. But stay in an energy where people appreciate you and understand you and admire what you do. So like you are in a community, it's great. Stay in that energy. All the best and you are doing awesome. I mean
amazing work. Thank you sir. Thank you
