Confidence Project 2025 – Part 2 What Broke You, Isn’t Your Fault (But Rebuilding Is Your Job)

Rahul Wadhwa talks about rebuilding confidence after setbacks caused by poor management or wrong roles. You didn't break yourself, but fixing it is on you. He walks through unlearning negative beliefs and taking small steps back.
Welcome back to the Confidence series where my goal is to make you confident in 2025. Let's start with the hard truth. Most reps do not lack talent. They lack belief. And here's the thing. No one will tell you. You were not born doubting yourself. You learned it from bad bosses who did not train you. From companies that promised growth but gave you chaos instead. From markets that expected result without giving you direction. I was on a call recently with a rep who told me, rahul, I don't even know if I'm good anymore. And she had onboarded Tata SBI for a startup alone. No manager, no playbook, no backup. Then she got moved around, fired. Stuck in roles that did not fit. And now she's questioning everything. That's not failure, that's misplacement. It was not her. It was the wrong team. Wrong structure, wrong environment. And if you have ever been through something like that, let me say this out very loud. What broke your confidence was not your fault, but rebuilding it. That's your job now. Confidence is a skill. But before you build it, you need to unlearn the stuff that made you feel small. Unlearn that one bad quarter defines you. Unlearn that being quite in a room means you do not belong there. Unlearn that missing targets means you are not cut out for sales. Because here is what I have seen. After training 400 reps, the confident ones did not have the perfect resume. They just stopped trying their worth to their worst days. So if your confidence is shaken right now, Start here. STEP 1. Write down where that doubt came from. Was it a manager? A job? A moment. Step two. Ask yourself, is that voice in my head even mine? Or is it just a replay of someone else's limitation? Probably family, friends, who knows? Step 3. Choose one thing today that reminds you you still got it. One cold call, one dm, One demo. Small moves daily. That's how confidence rebuilds. You did not lose your talent. You just forgot how strong you actually are. This series is not just content, it's your comeback. If this hits you at the right time, follow now. Part three is coming and it's where things get serious.
