Interview Dark Secrets no one will tell you

This is a YouTube video titled "Interview Dark Secrets no one will tell you" created in August 2025. The content is a monologue or talk providing advice on how to succeed in sales interviews by controlling energy, appearance, and conversation tactics. It is instructional and motivational in nature, aimed at job seekers preparing for interviews.
Why you're not cracking sales interviews and how to fix it in three steps. Most hiring managers decide in the first five to 10 minutes whether you're moving to the next round. It's hard to believe, but it is true. That's why every detail matters. What you say, how you say it, when you pause. Even the way you react to a question. Here's the truth no one will tell you, and I'm not scared to tell you that they have more options than you do. They don't have to try. You do. And here's the best part. Most hiring managers have no real system for hiring. They are mostly winging it. Trying to hire the replica of the best player. Which means you can outplay them if you know how. Look the part. Don't overdo it. No suit needed. All you need is a clean iron shirt, well groomed, beard, nose hair gone. Wear it alone. Not for them, but for you. It puts you in your shop, estate, dress as if you were meeting them in person. Step 2 Control the energy when you meet them. Smile. Smile like you mean it. There are two types of smiles. One when you greet somebody and one when you respond to something generally worth smiling at. Practice both. When they ask a question, don't just jump in instantly, even if you know the answer. Pause like this. Think. Jot down a structure. Show that you have a process. Even if. Even when you don't. 3. Flip the script. The most boring question in the world. Tell me about yourself. Use it as an opening to take charge. Mr. Interviewer, I saw you have been in sales for a while. What's been the most interesting part of your career? Put the focus on them. People light up when you show real interest. Research them. Check LinkedIn, even Instagram. I remember when I once drawn the sales interview into a conversation about risk taking because I knew the guy. I loved adventure sports and he loved me for it. I love adventure sports too. But that was not a manipulation. Anything which I'm saying right now is not manipulation. It's art and science and anyone can learn it. I've taught over 500 students to walk into interviews with complete control and grabbed every single one except one for except McDonald's in college. Apparently I was too smart for a job anyways. The difference between failing and getting the offer is not luck. It's knowing how to read the room in minutes, guide the conversation and make them feel like you are the obvious choice. Drop your toughest interview question in the comment. I'll answer every single one, I promise.
