This is a YouTube video titled "No Still Means Go" created in April 2025, presenting a motivational talk focused on handling rejection in sales. The speaker discusses strategies to maintain confidence despite frequent rejection, emphasizing detachment of identity from outcomes, creating rejection resets, and tracking controllable factors to build resilience and confidence in high-pressure sales environments.
Welcome back to the Confidence Project 2025. So far we've talked about what confidence really is and how it starts with action. Then we address how past failures can mess with your belief, even when it was not your fault. But now we're talking about the part that hits the hardest. Rejection. Because in sales, rejection is not rare, it is the job. And if you don't know how to handle it, it will chip away at your confidence until nothing is left. And here is the truth. Rejection is not personal, it's just data. But. But when you're tired, under pressure and not seeing results, it starts to feel personal. So how do you stay confident when you're getting hit with no all day? Number one, detach identity from outcome. You are not your quota. You are not the last. Not interested. You did the work, you showed up, you learn. Confidence is earned in the showing up, not in the yes. Create a rejection reset. Top reps do not absorb rejection. They redirect it. Have a reset, a playlist, a phrase, a breath, even a two minute walk. You don't have to feel nothing, but you need to bounce back fast. Number three, track what you control. You cannot control who replies, but you can control the number of DMs you send. The quality of your code opens, the time you put into the research. Confidence grows when your scorecard includes the right matrix. You want to know how reps become uncheckable. They don't avoid rejection, they normalize it. They respect the reps it takes and they keep showing up. Rejection does not mean you're not good enough. It means you are on the arena and that's where confidence is built. Follow for part four. We're talking about how to protect your confidence during the high pressure moments.
