This is a YouTube video titled "The 2025 Confidence Project- The Beginning" created in April 2025. It features a motivational talk focused on building genuine confidence through action, particularly aimed at sales representatives. The speaker emphasizes that confidence is developed by doing challenging tasks rather than waiting to feel confident first, encouraging viewers to take initiative and embrace discomfort to grow their confidence.
Welcome to the confidence series, where my goal is simple. To make you all confident in 2025. Not just confident on paper, but the kind of confidence that shows up in your voice, your posture, your pipeline, and your paycheck. Most sales reps think confidence is something you're either born with or magically get once you hit the quota. Well, the truth is, confidence is not a gift. It's you do not have confidence. You do confidence. Think about that. You don't have focus. You do focus things. You don't have memory. You train your memory. Same is with confidence. It's a verb. And like any verb, it's built through reputation. If I were to give you the real talk, I was not born with confidence, no matter how it looks, and neither was anyone. You look at today and think, damn, they've got it all figured out. We all built it the same way, by doing hard things. By showing up when it was awkward, by pushing through when we wanted to quit, by making the calls, asking the questions, putting ourselves out there again and again. You build it when you show up to a cold call you're dreading. You build it when you ask a hard question on a sales call instead of playing it safe. You build it when you hear not interested and keep going. Every time you take an action, especially when it's uncomfortable, you are doing confidence. Here is the mindset shift you need to know. Do not wait to feel confident, to do the thing. Do the thing and confidence will follow. Let me say that again. Confidence does not come before the call. It comes from the call. So if you're sitting there thinking, I need to build confidence as a rep, you already know what to do next. Pick the hard thing you've been avoiding and do it. Because the reps who make it in the game, they don't wait to feel ready. They take the call, send the email, ask the hard question, and that's how they become ready. You do not need confidence to start. You need to start to build confidence. Stay tuned for part two or better follow the whole series. This is where confidence gets real.
