Canva Brand Kit Tutorial: Build Consistent Brand Templates with Logos, Colors, and Fonts

Hey everyone, this is Rami Reiden. In this video, I'm going to share with you this cool feature from Canva. It's the Brand Kit and the Brand Template where you can set up your logos, font, color plate, and use them across all your designs. So let's get started. Log in to Canva and here On the left menu, go to Tools and then Brand. As you see, this cool feature is available for Canva Pro users. So if you have a subscription, you can access it here. So here we set up the brand logo and the brand colors and the brand fonts. There's also brand templates and Brands control. So we're gonna use brand templates where we can create a template and add it to the brand kit. So in this video, I'm going to create a logo and brand template and add it here to the brand kit. We press on brand templates and down there create a brand templates and choose logo. There's just so many different logo styles, colors, designs, fonts you can choose from. Or you can search by name for certain category. So for example, I'm looking for real estate logo. You type real estate. I'm going to choose this one, and it, as you see, it has 4 different colors and backgrounds. I'm gonna choose it. Uh, here there's a template style, and here's all the pages. I'm going to apply all the Colors. First thing, make sure to name your document up there. This is going to be the brand template name, so name the project. And now I'm gonna change this to whatever you want to write here, your company name, your name. And I want to change the font to, for example, I choose this one and Gloria And here I'm going to choose different font for this. There's so many different fonts where you can choose from. I'm going to repeat these steps to the other logo colors. Choose the font. And I'll make sure to match the same font for all logos. So on this one I used the Remo, so I'll go here and choose a Remo, right? Same thing with the other one. I'll continue you through the other ones quickly. And this is a black logo on a white background. Maybe you use it for printing. So it's, it's nice to have all the colors. So now after I'm done with this, I can publish as a brand template. So publish as a brand template. You can check Go to Folder here, and again the brand tool will open, and you can see your logo in the brand template. Now we can export the logo from here. To open this menu and press on download. And here we go. You can choose the size and make sure to have it with PNG transparent background. And you can choose which logo you want to do, or you can choose them all. Download. This will go to a zip file, and here's the folder. Ready to use. All the 4 logos in one folder, transparent and ready to use. Now we're going to upload these logos to the Brand Kit. So Brand Kit logos, press this one and upload the logos you just downloaded. Open. And now I have the 4 logo is ready to use in my brand kit. As for the colors, here's the brand colors. You can add your colors. And here's the font. For example, I want to modify the font to have this one, Lora, as a heading. And subheading, I want to use Arimo. And for the body, I'm going to use, um, See, Alice or whatever. Alice is good, or Beleza. Going to use Beleza. Here you also adjust the font size and if you want to do it bold or italic. Also here we're going to add the color plates. So you press on this plus sign, and if you see the color added automatically based on your color, your logo color, you can also add extra colors as you wish to use in your template. So everything you need here all together under the bracket and the brand template. So this is a very useful tool from Canva that helps you organize your color fonts and logos in one place. So now I'm going to create an Instagram story post. Just for an example how to apply the logo and use the font and the color template. So here from this templates I'm going to search for real estate template. Um, is this an example? First I'm going to start with the logo, so I delete the existing logo on the Design. Then I go to Logos here in the left corner and choose my logo. It's already there, just press it and here we go. Resize it. And to use the font, you go to the font menu, and here you see Rami Brand Kit. So this is where I saved the font I want to use for the title and the subtitle and the body. So you choose it, and this one the same, right? Same with the color. I'm using my brand kit colors. Here we go. That one, it's already there. And this one, same thing here. The effects, same thing. You can see the color plate there, same color plate everywhere, so it can match the theme you're doing, the, the brand theme. That's it, it's done. Now I need to download a copy of the design, so I go to share and choose the download. Here the file type, it's suggested to be PNG. I can keep it as PNG, can also adjust the size, download.
