All right, section 2, how to personalize ChatGPT so it speaks your language. Now that you understand what ChatGPT is, let's make sure you're actually set up like to use it well. And this is where most people overcomplicate things, but the setup can like take less than 10 minutes. And you will use it for good, right? So we will walk through it together step by step, and by the end, you will have ChatGPT tuned to sound like you. All right, so when you go to ChatGPT, chat.openai.com, that's the main website. You create an account or log in with, with your existing account by Google, Apple, or by your email. I'm not sure which plan you have. There's the free plan. You get the ChatGPT 3.5. The plus plan, $20 a month. You get ChatGPT. Now it's 5. So you get the 4 and the 5 and the 5.1. All right. Optional mobile app for Apple or Android phones. Okay, so we start simple. The free version works, works great for writing and brainstorming. The Plus plan unlocks GPT-4 and 5, faster, smarter, and can handle files, images, even web browsing. So if you're using ChatGPT daily for content or emails, ChatGPT Plus is, is worth it. And yes, there is an app handy for voice-to-text ideas on the go if you don't know this on your phone, right? So if you don't have it on your phone, you can install it and you can speak to it and it speaks to you back in the tone you choose. There's like 10 different voices you can choose from. So I'm gonna share my screen to show you the, these areas, key areas, chat history and folders where they are on the left, the input bar where you type prompts, the top menu, uh, GPT selector. You can choose here the model and then explore GPTs where you have custom assistant library. So think of this. Let me share my screen first and then I'll continue. All right. So when we say ChatGPT menu, we have from the top, new chat. This will open just a new chat. Without any project. We have search chats where you can search for any previous chats. We have library for the photos in the media, archived chats, and call history. So this is here more advanced. I'm not going to go through it. Then we have GPTs. We'll cover this in the, in section 4. And we have a project. So if you see here how many different projects I have, Right. So for my virtual assistant, I have a project for Facebook networking, a project for workshop, I have project operation and so on. Right. So what's— what can this— what can happen here? For example, this is a project. Inside the project, you can see different chats. Okay, is this clear for you? So we have the project and the chats. We will go more into details about this. Uh, I want you to think of this like your digital studio, where the left side, like, your, your project, and in the middle is your conversation, right? And the, the Explore ChatGPT buttons is like your App Store, which is— I'm going to show you right now. Maybe, uh, uh, a lot of you don't know how to go there, right? So let me show you here the Explore. So here there's a lot of apps inside ChatGPT that you can use. For example, if you want to use OpenAI Legacy Image Generation, this is— it's here in the Explore GPT menu, right? If you want these, by the way, these are by ChatGPT, okay? But created by ChatGPT team. Data Analyst, Hot Modes, ChatGPT Classics, web browser, right? So these are apps inside ChatGPT. There is more writing apps, AI Humanizer, and so on. There's a productivity one for photo, photo, photo realistic image and video generator, video by InVideo. So many different ones you, you get to try based on what you need. For education, there's Apps for education, AI for medical students, so it's ready for them. Marketing and business AI, large marketing knowledge base. Then lifestyle, uh, this is for image and logos. Programming also, and so on. So why I'm, I'm sharing this? Because you need to explore what's inside. All the Explore GPT button is like an app store for assistant. You'll find ChatGPT for marketing, designs, coaching, you name it. All right, so next we're gonna go, um, what would you like? So two questions to answer: what would you like ChatGPT to know about you? How would you like ChatGPT to respond? I'm gonna give you tips here. So maybe you're not seeing the other screen. So I'm gonna— let's go to this screen. So this is where we give custom instruction to ChatGPT to make it sound like you. And two questions again to answer. What would you like ChatGPT to know about you? How would you like ChatGPT to respond? And tips here: add your business type and audience, describe your tone like warm, direct, friendly, then mention goals. So you want to mention your goals with every project you're doing. Create content, write emails, plan funnels. So I'll give you a sample, a sample for this. Right. And this is where the magic starts. ChatGPT remembers your context, so it tries in your voice. For example, I'm a business coach helping entrepreneurs gain clarity and confidence. Keep the tone conversational and practical. Practical. Once you save that, every future chat starts like aligned with your brand personality. Okay, example for custom instruction and the templates. I'm going to give you templates. So first of all, I'm going to copy this, put it in the chat so you can have it. Sally, I will answer all your questions in, in the Q&A because I'm gonna cover a lot of things here based on what you're asking. So you can copy this template, fill in your own details, and you're good to go. About me: I am— put that like, uh, life, business, health coach, whatever you're doing, right? Helping your audience— put your audience, who are your audience— overcome what challenge, right? Then voice and tone, you want to have it warm, motivational, clear, and result-oriented. The goal: create weekly content, email, and resources for my clients. So this is custom instruction, we're gonna do it together. I want to show you where to put this in every project. And here we don't have any code to do, no integration, just personalization for the project. So let me share. All right, so going back to the projects, Um, let me open the AI training project. All right, I'll put this zoom so you can see. All right, can you see the zoom, uh, on the screen? Zooming. Okay, so here on the top of any project, let, let me create a project from the beginning, how to start from, from scratch. So if you see here, go to Project, you can see projects. If I click on new one, the first thing you see, the project name. So you type this project, the name of the project here, for example, uh, social media content or marketing, anything you need. Then there is setting for the project here. You press on it. There is two important things you need to know about the, the setting. First one, and these are all about memory. The first one, default, where project can access memories from outside chat and vice versa. So everything in this project can access memory from different projects or different chats you have on ChatGPT. The second one, project only, where project can only access its own memory. Its memories are hidden from outside the chat. Note that this chat, this setting cannot be changed later. So this is really important. After you create the project, you also have an option to come here to the icon, press, press on it, can change the color and change the icon to, to the style you want. Right? So pick up any icon you want. So social media, I may choose this. And now I have this project all about the social media. So how to give it more instruction? We go on the top, the three dots on the top, press them, and then we choose Add Instructions. Here where you can put the prompt I just gave you. So here I can copy this and bring it here, paste it. And after you fill what you, you need to fill based on what you do and your audience and the challenge you, you help them overcome. All right. So when you save this, When you do this, this project got instruction how to get your result. All right, are we clear on this? So if we're clear, just type in the chat, clear. Great. Perfect. Great, great, great. So, all right. So organize your projects, create separate chats for each project. Sorry, Rami, there was a question that 2 of us asked. Oh, where did you click to get the instruction? Okay, I'm gonna repeat this because a lot of people missed this. So I'm gonna share the screen again. Right, so I'll close this. Moosh, can you see my— the magnifier on the screen? So on the top right of the ChatGPT, there is the three dots. If you press on them, you can see project setting. You got it? I had our faces on that corner, so I was like, we're all— Yeah, you want to move Zoom to the top. Cool. Okay, great. Perfect. So let's go back to the slides. So organize your projects. Create separate chats for each project— content ideas, email campaigns, clients resource, funnel copy. So create different chat Don't do everything under one chat, and every time you have a chat, make sure to rename it to stay organized. A lot of us, me, me, when I started, I used to have started chat and with the question. So this chat name goes with the question and I don't know like what is it about and it's, it looks messy. I'm not sure what I was doing right now. I have more. Organize the stuff. As you saw, I have a project and I have a chat inside the project and each chat for a specific thing. Okay, next, ChatGPT versus custom GPT. What's the difference? So The feature for ChatGPT is ready to use and CustomGPT as well. The ChatGPT is the personalized. You can, you can just give you, give it what I gave you, custom instruction. That's for GPT. While CustomGPT, it go to more deep training and uploads. ChatGPT best for daily tasks and ideas, while CustomGPT more repetitive business process. So you can stick with StandardGPT for most things, right? But if you repeat a workflow, say, um, creating weekly content or, uh, or coaching summaries, a CustomGPT can automate it. So this is what I need you to understand. It's like having a personal intern that already knows your system. It's a custom, so it got more deep training and more direction to do things, right? And you can upload files so it can read them and then act based on what you train it. All right, so, uh, this is a personalized ChatGPT, personalizing ChatGPT. I want you to, to open setting, do custom instruction as I, I did, and, and paste, uh, your template, right? And after you do that, ask Write a welcome email for my new clients. So I'll give you 2 minutes to do that because you want to see the results after, after you give instruction to the folder and give this simple ask, like, write a welcome email for my new client inside that custom project. Because that's the moment it stops being generic AI and becomes your creative assistant, especially for project for now. I'll do a demo if you want. Are we good? Are you doing it? Is it working for you? Any question at this, for this specific task? Okay, good. Oh, Sally, yes.
So in the instructions where you're saying paste the template, that's that previous instruction, correct, that we added? Okay, beautiful. I just wanted to make sure. Thank you.
You're welcome. And after that, you, you can open a new chat and, and you start a new chat You don't have to open anything. You start a new chat in that project and ask it to write you something like write a welcome email for my new client.
Beautiful.
Thank you. You're welcome. All right. Troubleshooting and best practices. Keep prompts short and specific. One topic per chat thread. Again, per chat, one topic. Don't mix multiple topics in, in one chat. Use, uh, use regenerate to see alternatives. Don't take the first results. Sometimes the, the good quality one in the second or the third. So if you don't like it, just use regenerate. Save great outputs to Notion or Docs. So Notion is, is like, I use Notion for everything I do, right? Like database for me, it organized everything for me. But you can simply use Google Docs for anything you're doing. You can save the output there and start organizing it, especially if you're creating content. Then the last one Talk to it like a collaborator, not a search bar. Give it a name. My name is Lira. So I say, hey Lira, can we work on this? Hey Lira, can you give me that? So give it a name and tell it that your name— I want to give you this name that I like. And from now on, I'm going to call you in this name, right? So again, Talk to it like a collaborator. A lot of people, they think it's a machine, it's not a human. Why I want to talk to it like that? Well, at the end, everything in this world is energy, right? And this is we, how we're talking with things. So it saves us time, it's serving us, right? So we better just be nice. I personally talk to talk to it. Very, very nice. So if something feels off, don't start over, just do refine. Use refine-this, right? And again, think of ChatGPT as a co-writer. Give feedback, adjust, and re-ask. Always give feedback. And this is where the training happens. The more, the more feedback you give it, the better the results, right? It always adjust, always re-ask. So conclusion, the better your communication, the better its performance. Give it a name, and I told you mine is Lira. Just come up with a name tonight so you can check this on your box. Key takeaways from Section 2: setup takes minutes, not hours, very simple to set it up. Custom instruction equals your brand voice. So when you have custom instruction for the project, you have your brand voice there. Organize a project like folders. Small tweaks, big productivity wins. So Now you're officially set up. You've got your workspace, your tone, and your project ready. In the next section, we will go deeper into prompting and how to give ChatGPT direction so it gives you gold every time. Do we do setup for every project? Yes, because every project gonna be different. So you want to give instruction for every project, but not every chat in the project. So the chat's gonna be under the project.
