And you know, I'm not blaming doctors. I'm a doctor myself, and I know how hard it is. The system gives us only 15 minutes, if at all, to manage one of the most complex chronic disease in medicine. You know, diabetes affects you from head to toe. It affects your heart, your kidneys, your eyes, your nerves, your brain, your hormones, your sexual life, your emotional health. It touches every part of your life, and it requires daily decisions about food, exercise, sleep, stress, medications. And we are supposed to address all of that in 15 minutes, 4 times a year. It's impossible. You just can't do it.
