I was born and raised in India in a very small town called Pilani. It's in Rajasthan. It's a very small town, well known for its education, but the advanced medical care was almost non-existent. We grew up in a joint family, and I had my cousin with me, and he would often fall sick again and again without any answers. He wasn't diagnosed with pituitary condition, which drew me into endocrinology later, until he was 21. Something that we should have detected in childhood. So that really left deep mark on me, thinking that how can we make it better, and nobody else has to delay getting that care that somebody deserves earlier on.
