In this conversational YouTube clip, Ray Sorrell and two participants discuss the difference between genuine deal‑breakers and unrealistic, delusional expectations when looking for a partner. Ray lists a series of extreme criteria—such as a partner’s appearance (wig, makeup, nails, eyelashes), physical attributes (height, weight), lifestyle choices (no kids, specific degree, religious devotion), and financial demands—and questions whether these are true deal‑breakers or merely fantasies. He emphasizes that love is a choice, rooted in values and realistic wants, and that as people age their “must‑have” lists evolve. Ray references Tyler Perry’s 80/20 (or 60/40) rule to illustrate how priorities shift over time. The segment ends with a typical YouTube call to like, share, and subscribe.

Hard, hard, hard lesson I had to learn on my own. There's a difference between deal breakers and being delusional. What do you mean?
Why you wanna talk to— why you wanna be my boyfriend and you don't even know how I act when I'm mad?
Well, sometimes your deal breaker is she can't wear a wig, can't wear makeup, can't wear nails, can't have eyelashes. Can't talk back, gotta have no kids, gotta have a degree, gotta love the Lord. That's delusional. You gonna think you gonna find a woman that's— I mean, you might, but is that a deal breaker or you being delusional? Crazy, deranged. And then with women, gotta be 6 feet, boy, he gotta weigh 180 pounds, he gotta—
It's the belly for me, but you are attractive man, but it's, it's the belly.
Have a job, you can't have no kids, can have multiple baby mamas and he gotta give me all his money every time. He can't say no. Listen, y'all, y'all crazy. Same thing with me. Are you being delusional or is it a deal breaker? Love is a choice. You know what that means? It means that you can choose love because you're not going to get everything that you want. So sometimes we being delusional, we being crazy, deranged, It goes back to having values, goes back to your real wants and needs. I think Tyler Perry talked about the 80/20 rule. Sometimes it's 60/40. And the older you get, I promise you, whatever list you got is going to change. And the reason it's going to change, because you realize that some of the stuff that you thought about a long time ago that was important is not important now.
Love is a choice, it's God's plan.
