In this YouTube short, the creator recounts a comedic, first‑person story about a 39‑hour cross‑country drive to Barstow. He expected to stay with a college friend who had offered him a place, but a third‑party (a girl who disliked the situation) intervened, causing the friend to back out. The narrator describes the surprise and frustration of arriving to find his housing plans collapsed, delivering the tale with a casual, humorous tone.

Jasmine, we drove across country.
Come on now.
39 hours, right? Are you serious? Yes, we drive 39 hours across country, we get to Barstow, and I find out that the place that I'm going to live, I can't live there anymore. Like, I had a homeboy from college who said I could come and stay with him or whatever, and because somebody hated on the situation, this girl I knew didn't want me to live, you know, with him or whatever. Called him and was like, oh, she ain't got no money, she broke, she trying to come out there and live off of you. So by the time I got to Barstow, I'm like, hey, what's up? And he is acting totally different. He was like— I was like, right, to the point where I go like, I'm still cool to stay with you, right?
And he was like, life is too short, bitch, now turn that corner.
