In this spoken testimony delivered at the Tom Joyner Family Reunion, the speaker—who goes by “Can’t Get Right Without the Lord”—shares a personal experience of receiving unexpected backstage access at the event. He recounts being guided by God to bypass a line and enter an expo where Kirk Franklin’s band was rehearsing, reflecting on the scripture Psalms 46:10 (“be still, and know that I am God”). The speaker interprets this as a reminder that God remembers and equips believers, even when they feel forgotten. He emphasizes that the access he received was not due to his own merit but because of divine provision, urging listeners to be patient, obedient, and to trust that God will open doors that may seem frightening. The message concludes with encouragement to wait on God, ignore haters, and stay still in faith, reinforcing the refrain “Don’t believe me? Just watch.”

Yo, what's up family? This is your boy Can't Get Right Without the Lord, because can't none of us get right without the Lord. Amen. Yo, check this out, man. I'm tripping out. I am at the Tom Joyner Family Reunion. God is blessing me to get here. Um, I got on with the crew and, um, because of who I knew, somebody blessed me to come in and, and work this weekend. I'm having a good time. I'm able to see some shows and meet some great people and everything and see some behind the scenes things. Things are pretty cool. And I was upstairs earlier, I was watching Dietrich Haddon, and man, he's doing his thing, man. He's an awesome artist. And I'm waiting for Yolanda Adams to come on, and God says, "I need you to go downstairs to the expo." So I go downstairs to the expo, which is another room, and I see people standing in line. I go past the line and I walk in the expo. The doors are locked, and people look at me, wave me, "Hey, how you doing?" Talk for a couple of seconds, I walk in, and I go and sit down. I see Kirk Franklin's band there rehearsing for their performance in a couple hours. And I'm like, okay God, what's going on? He said, you didn't catch that, did you? And I was like, I didn't really understand. And there's a scripture that came to my mind real quick, and I'm like, God, what are you doing? Psalms 46:10 says, be still, and I'm paraphrasing, be still and know that I am God. Be still and know that I am God. So I'm like, what am I supposed to catch, God? And he said, everyone else was standing in line and you had full access. You forgot you had the shirt on. You forgot you had a name badge on. You were just going to work. And all weekend you've been so used to going behind the scenes that it's become regular business to you. And I just paused because a friend of mine told me a couple of years ago, he said, never catch a wagon or attach a wagon to somebody else's train. And then God says, I am God, not you. But I forgot what I had on me. People, understand something. If God has placed something in you, he ain't forgot about you. God has not went golfing, he's not on a fishing trip. God says, look here, bruh, I got you. Don't believe me? Just watch. I like that little song because the hook says Don't believe me, just watch. And I believe what God told me today was, I'm gonna open up doors for you that's gonna frighten you. Because although you forgot about what you had on you, I didn't. I placed it in you a long time ago. And everyone else was going through the line, everyone else was doing different things. And what's funny is, as everyone else was standing in line, I was getting access to bypass the line. Last year at this time I was standing in line. This year I got to bypass the line, go beyond the ropes. God said it wasn't because you did it, it's because I did it. Be still and know that I am God. That's awesome. The 'be still' part means don't move, but the 'I am,' that's letting you know you're not. You got that? I am God, you're not. And I just want to encourage somebody right now because sometimes in life we get frustrated. It doesn't feel like God has remembered us, doesn't feel like God has— it sometimes feel like God has forgotten us. He hasn't forgotten you. Don't believe me? Just watch. That's all God is saying. Keep waiting on him until he tells you to move. Be obedient, do the best that you can. Don't worry about your haters because some of your haters at the end of the day are still gonna be standing in the lines, and God's just gonna move you into a new place that you've never been before. I just wanted to drop that in your spirit. As God is blessing me, I just wanted to just pause and bless you. Yo, this is your boy Can't Get Right Without the Lord. I holla.
