In this solo monologue, Ray Sorrell (branding himself as "Ray Can't Get Right") discusses the common focus on red flags in dating while highlighting the often‑overlooked concept of green flags—behaviors that signal genuine interest and compatibility. He defines red flags such as asking for money early, selfishness, lack of attention, and phone‑obsessed behavior, then explains green flags as clear "go" signals like eye contact, attentive listening, remembering conversation details, and physical touch. Sorrell stresses that green flags must be reciprocal; both partners need to demonstrate interest and presence. He urges listeners to consciously evaluate whether a date is a "go" or a "stop," framing love as a deliberate choice aligned with a higher purpose. The talk blends informal, motivational language with practical dating advice and personal branding statements.

Most people would never admit that they can't recognize the green flag. Yeah, you, you understand the red flag. Red flag: ask for money early, being very selfish, not paying attention to you, ignoring you, texting on a date, uh, even taking pictures of their food the whole date, not paying no attention to you. On the ground. But can you recognize the green flag? The green flag is something that we don't talk about. And what a green flag is, it's very simple. It is a go. In other words, they're showing you that they're interested. They're showing you that, hey, you know what, you might be somebody I want to spend the rest of my life with. But we so busy looking at the green flag— I mean, the red flags— that we get scared. So a green flag is very simple. It's a go. Did she touch you? Did she show interest in you? Did, did she make eye contact? Him, did he pay attention to what you said? When you said something during the dinner conversation, did he bring it back up in a way that made you feel comfortable, in a way that made you feel like, wow, this guy really paying attention to me? Now I know the first thing you're going to say, because some of you are very pessimistic, You're gonna say, well, he might just be playing with my, my emotions. The girl, he, she might just be doing this to get my money. Or they might be really interested in you. You know, a green flag goes both ways. Are you showing go, or are you at the table the whole time during the date? Are you on the phone talking to your kids and not paying attention to what he's saying to you? You got to understand, the green flag goes both ways. So you have to pick a point in your life where you say, is this a go or it's a stop? But we're gonna figure this thing out together. I'm Ray Can't Get Right, and we're about to turn this corner. Love is a choice, it's God's plan.
