We can't get it right.
What makes y'all proud of being Black? Because we up under attack right now. What makes y'all proud to be Black men?
Strong and resilient.
Right.
Strong and resilient. As much as we've been through, like he said, resilient. They want to take it from us because they scared of us. You know what I'm saying?
Black is power. It's always represented power. Love it. Love it.
Many things.
My ancestors. What my family has poured into me, just the icons that came before us and how they lived their lives. I mean, I can only hope to live up to that, you know?
I love it.
And in addition to that, everybody wants to be us. Oh, that part. Everybody wants to be us. They talk about us, but they want thick lips like us. They talk about us, but they want big, thick, full breasts like us. They talk about us, but they want hips and behinds like us. They want to be built like us. They want to look like us. And something else that makes me proud is that we're all different, but yet Black. All different, but—
You gotta survive, you know, you could be in a state of survival for a long time, but at some point you gotta climb yourself and hey, I can make this work and make it work for you and your family how best that suits you, you know, and try, you know, and try it best to, hey, if you can drag somebody along with you that's willing to come to help them out too.
What makes me proud to be Black is that my My ancestors did what they needed to do for us in this world. Okay. Martin Luther King did what he needed to do for us in this world.
Okay.
Black people invented a lot of stuff that a lot of people don't know about. That makes me proud. What makes me proud about being Black is we can stand up to anybody and we're not gonna bow down to nobody.
I love it. What makes you proud about it, Black?

Our protection, the melanin, the protection.
Yes, the information stored in the cells.
Yes, it's the culture. I love how we make everything out of nothing. We create lanes that we didn't even know existed, and when we create them and they try to steal them, whoever this may be, they can't do it.
I love it.
That's beautiful.
I'm proud of the culture. Uh, my skin tone.
Um, say it, say it louder for Serena Williams.
I'm proud of the event that's going on right now.
Yeah, everybody just coming together, like chilling out, partying, having fun, like celebrating. So, so it should be—
I mean, I mean, the skin I'm in, you know, we come from— I mean, but I'm very proud to be Black, right? And I actually— I'm not gonna get into something else, but You know, we're an excellent people with a lot of legacy that has been hidden from us in a lot of ways. You understand what I'm saying? So because of the internet and because of my curiosity, I've been looking and researching over the years and understanding a lot about my own people. And that's what makes me so proud of the rich heritage, the rich heritage that we exude, right? Yes, sir. And, and our ancestors who laid a path for us, who sacrificed and did a lot of the things that we don't have to deal with, the overt racism, even more so than what we're seeing today. They dealt with that so we could be a little bit higher up. And now we gotta do the same for our kids, right? And so on and so on.
Yes, sir.
Right?
What makes you proud to be a Black woman?
Ooh.
'Cause you know, a lot of people aren't.
There's people who don't like their skin color and not where they're, you know, I would say knowing my lineage, my heritage, um, our people, where we came from, my family, the roots, and just the foundation that they set. And just personally watching my own mom just do what she had to do for me and doing her thing as a Black woman showed me that it was okay to be who I am. So yeah, this my mama.
Shout out to my mom. What makes me proud to be a man?
Understanding.
Track.
In my DNA, uh, once I understand, understood that my DNA can't be matched, like, that's heavy. That means something. Um, and then the universe chose me to do it. I'm thankful. I'm grateful.
I like that. The universe chose you, kissed you.
Yeah, chose me to do it. That's a nice speech.
So where you from?
We've been—
Plaquemines, Louisiana.
What makes you proud be black?
Everything. All right, everything. Our uniqueness, how we just— no matter where we go, we can change the whole vibe of the environment. You step in the room, step in the room, we going to change it every time.
Oh, well, oh, you know, I didn't understand why women took off their bras. I didn't understand that till I got titties. Now I got titties. Come on, girl, get in the camera.
Hold on, where am I?
That I got titty meat, I understand.
Can we do that? Is that okay?
Are y'all— y'all sharing titty sweat?
No, we just neck sweat.
But the neck sweat is on the same line.
It ain't made it there yet.
It's perpendicular to the titty sweat. I just made that up.
It's adjacent.
It's adjacent.
It's titty sweat adjacent.
Question: what makes you proud to be Black? Oh my goodness. But I'm looking at you. You're telling the right one. I mean, I think we need to express this. Right.
Just the essence of our culture. We're so enriched with power, with the struggle making us be so competent and talented. And we just have a spirit of being good, of being essentially good individuals, of culture, of hospitality.
I like that consistent of being good.
Yes.
Because they highlight the bad.
Oh yeah, right.
But there's a lot of us.
Well, today is proof. I mean, even as far as now, the community coming together to support all over the country, from all over the country, all over the country here.
Yeah.
And every chance we get, we try to bring family members for tours to educate them. I still have family members who own property on Black Wall Street, thank God. And, um, and I'm proud of them, you know. So go out to Black to the t-shirt store, y'all. Get some t-shirts like this.
That's me.
So I got to ask you too, as a Black man, we under attack.
Say it again.
As a Black man, we're under attack also.
Most definitely, man.
What makes you proud to be a Black man?
I mean, you know, I think what all the adversity that we go through as Black men, with the right perspective, it makes us stronger. It makes us— we, we already inferior. They already inferior of us, what I mean. And I like the fact that I'm not ashamed of what we come from and what we've been through, because a lot of cultures desire to be us in a multitude of different ways, even while trying to hate us at the same time.
Yeah.
Yes, sir.
So with that being all the same, man, I walk around as a proud Black man.
Oui.
