In this short YouTube video, Naples real‑estate agent Renee Han presents a recent Collier County chart that breaks down the county’s 2,305 sq mi of land. She explains that roughly 77.7 % of the area is designated as preserves and parks—land that is largely unbuildable due to environmental constraints and sea‑level considerations. Only about 7.8 % of the county remains “unentitled,” meaning it is not currently earmarked for development but could be built on. Han emphasizes that this tiny pool of developable land signals an impending scarcity, making now an opportune moment for buyers to invest in Naples. She closes with a promotional plug for her services, directing viewers to her website (YourNaplesExpert.com) and YouTube channel for more real‑estate insights.

All right, here's some fun facts for you. This chart is a really interesting one, and it was produced recently by Collier County to kind of show the breakout of the development in the areas within the county. So if you think about Collier County accounts for 2,305 square miles of living space— well, living space is probably not— of land, we'll say that. So 2,305 You can see the acreage here. I won't convert that for you. Of that, two-thirds of that land is preserves and parks. That's 77.69%. So that's huge. A lot of that is because it may not be buildable land. There's a lot of parts of Naples, because of where we are relative to sea level, that are never going to be buildable, are going to be spaces that are great and perfect for other use, but are not ideal for building. If you look at what that leaves left for what they call unentitled areas— so these are unentitled, they're not currently taken, but they are able to be developed— there's only 7.81%. I find this fascinating, especially as a real estate agent, right? Because at some point, the opportunity to continue to develop runs out when there's only 7.81% left. What does this mean? It means, folks, if you want to make Naples your paradise in the future, wouldn't now be a great time to come and do that? Especially, by the way, when then there's some favorability to buyers in the market right now. But thought I'd share this interesting, interesting chart.
