She describes the mild, dry winters with low humidity, the June‑September rainy season (averaging about 55 inches of rain per year, mostly in short afternoon bursts), and the transitional fall and spring periods. Hahn also shares practical lifestyle adaptations for the warm months—indoor activities during peak heat, reliance on air‑conditioning, and abundant swimming‑pool and Gulf‑water opportunities. She highlights the appeal of winter for outdoor pursuits like golf, boating, and biking, and notes the lack of winter‑related pothole damage. And of course, reach out anytime if I can be of assistance to you on your journey to explore Naples living. As you likely already know, Naples offers a truly idyllic setting, but one of the things that really sets it apart is the weather. Now, there are many people that will ask, how in the world can you handle that heat and humidity, Renee? And while it's true that our summers can be on the hot and humid side, it's important to note that our temperatures generally don't reach the extreme levels of some other parts of the country. I tell people all the time, call me on your hottest day from where you are up north, and there's a high likelihood that it's hotter than it is here. And remember, it's a seasonal phenomenon. So just like people in colder climates adjust their lifestyles to accommodate the weather, Naples residents have also developed strategies to stay comfortable during these warmer months. These can include things like spending time indoors during the hottest parts of the day, using fans and our beloved air conditioning, and taking advantage of the many swimming pools and waters. Remember, we have a beautiful Gulf! Also, keep in mind that the coastal location helps to moderate temperatures and breezes, and that provides relief from the heat. Naples has been recognized for its pleasant climate, with many people choosing to retire here to escape those harsh winters in the other regions. One of the things that sets Naples apart is the relatively mild winters. Unlike many other parts of the country, we rarely have freezing temperatures or snow. Instead, during that time, we enjoy warm sunny days and cool nights. Very low humidity too. This makes it the perfect destination for those that want to escape those harsh winters. So you can come here in your winter and enjoy outdoor activities like golfing, boating, exploring beautiful beaches, riding your bike. One of the other things I have enjoyed is not having to deal with all those potholes from the harsh winters. I can remember how those wreaked havoc on my car during my years in Michigan. We also experience a rainy season, typically from about June till September. While the rainfall can be heavy at times, it usually comes in short bursts in the afternoon followed by sunny skies, so it can be a bit predictable most of the time. According to the weather statistics, Naples receives an average of around 55 inches of rainfall per year. This is relatively moderate compared to other parts of the country. And the majority of the rainfall occurs during the rainy season, as we already talked about. But we can also experience occasional showers throughout the rest of the year too. Now let's look at the typical weather patterns throughout the year. So summer we define as June till August. Typically, typically the temperatures will range from the mid-80s to maybe the low 90s Fahrenheit with lows hitting about the mid-70s. The humidity levels are definitely going to make it feel hotter than the actual temperature during the summer. Rainfall, it's typically, like I said, the rainy season is, is heavier in the summer months with occasional afternoon thunderstorms. Now let's move to fall, so September through November. Temperatures begin to cool down, it gets more in the 80s and maybe the low 60s. The rainfall decreases significantly, making fall a very popular time to visit Naples. Winter, we'll say, is between December and February. There, the highs typically range in the 70s, maybe get down to the low 50s. Winter is the driest season in Naples with very little rainfall, so it's certainly my favorite time to be here. And of course, humidity is almost non-existent. In the spring, defined as maybe March through May, temperatures will begin to rise, so you're getting up into the highs of about the 80s and the lows might kick around 60 60s. Rainfall might increase slightly, but it does remain pretty moderate. So overall, think about it, Naples climate is really kind of ideal for those seeking a warm and sunny destination with minimal extremes. Whether you're looking for sunny days at the beach or a cozy evening indoors, Naples has something to offer every season.
