Welcome back to another episode, folks. Today we passed over 100,000 subscribers to this little channel from this little farm in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of Sweden. So I'm super excited to announce a giveaway for all our amazing subscribers.
Thank you so much folks, for all your support and comments and feedback over the years. I actually originally started the YouTube channel over 10 years ago now, simply as a way to document my output packets for my masters in Integrative Eco Social Design and Communication at Gaia University. I was just coming into the digital age. It was the time I got my first computer. I had no intention of making a YouTube channel. I didn't even know such things existed at that time. It was merely a platform where I could put videos to document the work I was doing towards my master's degree there. And I certainly got involved in making little film documentaries over the years, including a round European tour with my daughter Grace when she was a baby. Looking at pioneers in the field then, and it's been really interesting just as a way to document what we're doing here. I've never been into the YouTube game and trying to make clickbait and get all this nonsense. I've not ever, not ever looked at it as a way of making money. And it does make a little bit of cash today that pays for a camera, for example, what I'm filming on now. But funnily enough, you guys have endured the most poor audios and bad filming ever. When I look back at some of the videos I filmed, nearly every video you saw on an old iPhone SE. And the reason I've done that, I've got four thousands of euros of film equipment, microphones, all the gear for lighting, etc. But I'm not being willing to let it interrupt my life. I've been wanting to bring you folks on a journey around the farm, showing you what we do, and I've needed the utility of just pulling out something in my pocket and getting on with it. So thanks all of those that have put up with bad audio on windy days, etc. But that's been my intention. This is not something I ever want to let interrupt my life in that way. I'm not doing it to be a YouTube sensation. I've been doing it to get information out there. And that's exactly why I've written the two books that I've written. The latest one being Regenerative Agriculture, which is a 750 page tome. It's a manual, it's a textbook of how to do this stuff. So I thought today we'll do a giveaway. Now, I think 100,000 subscribers means you get one of these little metal badges. Now, I don't have much need for such things, so I thought it'd be good if you gave me some ideas how we could smelt that thing down and turn in something useful, maybe a new Korean hoe for the garden or something like that. But Maybe, you know, 100,000 subscribers means nothing nowadays where you have channels with tens of millions of subscribers and all that. But I guess it's a milestone for the channel and it's been interesting to watch the progression. And I'm so glad mainly that so many people have benefited from it and feed that back to us constantly. I know it's influenced thousands of farms around the world. I've seen hundreds of our eggmobiles. I've seen hundreds of market gardens just like this. No dig. With wood chip pathways that we've really put out in the world. The best way for you folks if you want to support us is to subscribe to the channel. I see 90% of the traffic on YouTube aren't subscribers. So do subscribe if you want to keep up with our content and click the notifications bell if you want to be updated when we make content. But the very best way to support us is if you want to buy a copy of Regenerative Agriculture. We didn't really want to go into funding streams and those sorts of things. This is something I do for my own pleasure mainly, and I want to keep it that way. But if you want to support the work we do, buy our book. Because quite frankly, when I set out to write this, it was to fill a massive hole in the farming literature. You can see the contents and the reviews online@regenerativeagriculturebook.com so we only still sell this from the farm direct from me to you. And it's, I would say, arguably the most comprehensive, detailed book on regenerative agriculture in the field today. And it's been endorsed by people like Joel Salatin, who will be here next week, as well as Alan Savory and some of the key pioneer figures in this movement. So that's the best way to support us if you want to support us. Other than that, I'm doing a giveaway and I'll send a bunch of these books out anywhere in the world. I guess the competitions. You've just got to make me laugh in the comments below. That's it. Anyone can join in and if I laugh, I'll send you a book. So put your comments in there below, folks. Well done. Thanks for keeping watching us, and I hope you've got a lot of value out of it. If you want to share back some of the things that you've really benefited from our channel, I'm sure I'll appreciate reading those and others will enjoy that too. But if you can make me laugh, I'll send you a book. See you in the next video, folks. Sa.
