Welcome back to another video, folks. Now, this is just a video to announce the trainings that we'll be holding at Ridgedale Farm this year in 2021. As a response to the countless emails we get all the time we previously posted about courses we'd be putting up and we took them down because of the COVID situation and new Swedish laws that came into place that actually gave the government power to be able to affect more businesses in a way that they haven't had before. We decided to just put things on a halt to find out how those rules and regulations affect us and what we were going to do as a response to that in regards to having trainings at the Farm. Now, as you all know, we really enjoy doing incredible educational events at the Farm and we've offered unparalleled learning experiences in the field. So we've been in contact with lawyers and Lance Duilson to find out how the new rules will affect us. And we've had some positive news. Because of our occupation in farming and because of the fact that we're working outdoors with an outdoor kitchen and our TP spaces that we host trainings in and eat in that have totally open air. As long as we can maintain distance and follow any updates and regulations, we can continue and run our trainings, which is really exciting. We can assure you that we'll do everything necessary to make sure that everyone is kept safe. Obviously, travel regulations are going to affect who is able to come and join us this year. So if you're outside of Europe, then please think very carefully about the likelihood of travel restraints. We can't be held responsible for any travel costs, etc. As always, we'll keep people updated on social media, but right now it looks like trainings can go ahead. So I wanted to tell you a bit what we're offering this year. We're starting off the year with a three day pasture poultry masterclass and this has been one of my favourite trainings that we've run at the Farm. High percentages of the people taking this training in the past have gone away and set up their businesses, including many Swedish producers. So set over three days and we spend a whole day on Layer Enterprise looking at our eggmobiles. The setup, the management, the business and how the automations that we're putting in our eggmobiles are going to be working this year as an adaptation to what we've done in the past. We'll be looking at all the nuts and bolts behind the scenes things as well. And then we'll spend A day on meat productions looking at broilers and layers specifically in the different models that we pioneered here, as well as the on farm slaughtery and all the regulations and protocols with that. And we basically leave people armed with all the regulatory stuff they need to go and start a business effectively. And we've timed it so that we can also do some hands on slaughtery of pastured poultry at the farm. So we've timed both the pastured poultry events. We have the exact same event running again and they're both perfectly timed to allow us to get some hands on experience with how to process poultry effectively and safely on the farm, to give people real hands on knowledge and experience with that, which is really helpful. And the feedback from that in the past has been fantastic. So really looking forward to those events. They're going to be awesome. The next event is going to be a farm tour that's happening on my birthday at the end of May. And these are new tours that we've always done through open days in the past. But I know a lot of people coming want more technical information specifically on farming. Whereas our open days are more for local customer base to come and check out what we're doing and hear things in laypeople terms. So I've decided to offer two full farm tours this year. One on my birthday and one later in the year in September. And it's an all day tour so people show up and the morning and we will spend the entire day until dinner talking about every aspect of everything going on here in as much detail as we can. There's lunch from the farm offered and also dinner. And on my birthday bash we'll have people staying over in tents or maybe they can hire the new spaces that we're building in the forest. And we'll have a birthday bash with some local beer from our local brewer and some epic farm eats and just celebrate. I think it's going to be an amazing day, so I hope to see some of you at that. Next is World Acclaims Regenerative Ag Design Training. That's a week long training and we've designed it specifically over nine days so that you only need to take one week off work. And it covers both the weekends either end. And that's our Regenerative Agriculture Masterclass over nine intense days looking at all aspects of how to go about planning and designing farms for the future. That's a training that we're also running again in August because it's usually over subscribed. And it's our signature training that gives you a broad, very intense and deep introduction to everything that we do and our approach to farming and living. In July time. We've got a four day no dig market garden masterclass and that's specifically for those of you who want to go into commercial production using a no dig approach in this way that you've seen here at Ridgedale with compost on the beds and wood chips in the pathways. And we'll be covering all aspects of planning, production, economy, processing, delivering, and have plenty of time to see all the other things that are going on at the farm. So it's a full program. It's exciting. Those details are up on the website now. The bookings are live. Please bear in mind you need to check out your travel restrictions and think ahead. Obviously it's another unpredictable year, but I expect a much higher participation of European focused students. If you're traveling from further afield, you really need to be careful before you book any flights, etc. Because we can't be responsible for anything like that. But right now it's looking positive, so I'm super excited. It's really fun for us to be able to invite people into the farm, open up the farm gates and just share so much of the knowledge and experience that we've gained here to help you start your business. Right. So I look forward to meeting many of you here in 2021 and hopefully there'll be the camping established later this year that some of you will want to come and have a look around the farm in your own time and be able to eat farm food and meet the crew and see what goes on here. Look forward to another video soon, folks. And don't forget, The Kickstarter is 40% funded now. It's got 10 days left. It's a good chance that it will get funded, but this is really a testing ground to see if there's a demand for this book, to see whether I take the risk to put the costs in to print the book. So please get behind it. If you're interested in hearing the stories of all the up and coming amazing regenerative farmers around Europe. And hopefully this is the beginning of a series that will lead on into the future with other books from other parts of the world. Also, everything's in the links below. If you want to find out more, we'll see you in a video soon.
