Oh, hello there. I just made another book. Oh hello. It's cold in here. I'm in my garage. So just like I did with regenerative agriculture, I like making mock ups of books. I can feel them in my hands. So I get the old modge podge and I cut all this with an angle grinder just to give it more surface area and then liberally apply this glue, let it dry, do multiple layers and in this way I can get it feeling and resembling a book so I can get a good sense of do I like it as a book. You'll have to forgive the mess. It's winter time and well, things get a bit out of shape during the winter because it's just me and I'm being a bit lazy. Now this is just a mock up copy because we've just got the PDF together for the people that joined the farm like a hero experience with us this summer and those that have joined the masterclass, which is now closed. Now. I decided while I was putting the ebook together that this could be an amazing resource to help promote some of the unsung heroes in the regenerative agriculture movement and inspire a whole new generation into farming. So I made this mock up just to have a look. My printers locally are very accommodating to my whims and so responsive. I really appreciate them. Ramsdons and Sune, thank you so much. But this book is such a beautiful resource for people that are coming into farming. I talked about it in a video recently, but now that we've put it together it's about 300 pages. I reckon I can get this printed in hardcover for about €34,36 to you, I think. I haven't got that totally clear yet, but it's much cheaper than I originally thought because it's not so big. Now what I thought is that I'd ask you lot if you want a copy and the proof is in the pudding, as it were. So my plan would be in the early part of January is to put together a Kickstarter campaign and to get some combos of this with the ebook with. With the hero package, for example. And if there's enough people interested, I'll do a print run. And if enough people are really interested, I'd consider making another book for Europe. This is all European farmers and if that was a real success, I'd consider doing one for the US and Canada and maybe one for Australia, New Zealand, etc. Because I got a lot of followers in those parts of the world. Thank you all of you lot who follow us and share and comment and share goodwill about the work we do and share your own good work. It really means a lot to me and it really means a lot to me to see how I can use the platform I've built up to share and promote other people's amazing work. And some of the studies in here, just mind blowing. It almost brought me to tears putting this together because it's just amazing what people are doing. And my aim and intention with the Hero Tour was to connect people, get them talking to each other, sharing. And that's what we need a whole lot more of, especially after this weird, wonky year as we move into 2021. So if you like the idea of a printed book, it's going to be around those costs, let me know in the comments, say, yay, I'm in. And if you don't want it, say no thanks, don't want it. And that will give us a good sense. And then if there's enough response in January, I'll start a Kickstarter for this. And the other good bit of news I can tell you is after all these years posting out books from our farm using the local Swedish post service, it's been a nightmare, to be honest. The amount of lost books, damaged books, and to all of those of you that follow us that have bought books, that have got ruffled up in the post or got lost, and I've had to send out replacements, I'm sorry for their service. It's been the amount of money I've spent on shipping. They send me personalized cards every Christmas because I'm one of their best customers. I've spent more money on postage than I've spent on this farm in entirety. And it's amazing how many books have gone lost or been damaged or people have got French cookery books in their box when they've opened it. So I'm trying to set up a contract with a delivery service that can guarantee worldwide shipping in three to five days. It won't be any more expensive than it currently is and all shipments will be tracked. So I'm trying to set that up in the next few weeks if you. It's harder than you think to do that, but that's my aim. And so yeah, I'd love to hear from you in the comments if you're interested in that. I'm super excited to use my platform to benefit many more people in this way and that feels super exciting for me to do. And that's it for this video. I wish you all a super merry Christmas. Other things that have been going on here. I made an incredible Christmas cake. I bought a salad spinner. I've been doing all kinds of little random things, so I went on Alibaba and I bought this crazy machine. This is a vegetable spinner. If you turn it on, it goes super fast. Turn it off again. I reckon that's good enough for your salad mix. It's got a little drain hole. €150. Better than an upright washing machine. They're like €800 and you can't even get them in Europe. Alibaba, that's a beauty. And I reckon I could put a much bigger cage on here, so. So there's only like a centimeter gap. That will nearly double the capacity there. That's going to be a beauty. Now, I don't know the link because I bought it on a whim late at night. But if you go on Alibaba, just look for vegetable spinner, vegetable dryer and have a good route around. It's amazing what you can get on there. A lot of people are scared of buying in China, but that's where nearly everything's made. So you get things for a good deal if you shop there. So cool. This one was crushed out. The packet we had to do plaster repair works on all the walls and roofs. That's what you get with natural building. A little bit wonky, little bit wonky, bit tasty. Nice work. Wing there. Taking a video. Aren't you done? Mantis has got a worm. He's looking at it best for all the cassette. He got it. He got it. Mantis got the worm. Okay, Christmas cake. Rum, cherries, mixed peels, cranberries, apricots, figs, raisins, loads of butter. Juliet, for a few minutes, melt that all through and we'll let that sit till tomorrow. And then we're going to add all the other good stuff. Look at that. Flour, eggs, mix it all up. Gonna bake this. That is a British Christmas cake. Love it. Gotta feed it. Rum, two tablespoons. And you do this typically every two weeks for a few weeks up to Christmas. But I'm a bit late, so just giving in a couple of tablespoons, one for luck. And one for Mother England. Then we'll leave it. So a proper Christmas cake like this, it's an art to behold. There's a kilo of dried fruit in here. There's a whole block of butter. There's rum, a little bit of flour, lots of spices. And we cooked that for two hours today. And then what you meant to do is pour a couple of tablespoons of rum over this every week or so for the last five weeks. But I made it too late, didn't I? So I just poured a load of rum on it and hopefully it won't get too soggy, but it smells incredible. Alright, that's it for this episode, folks. We've got the family here. Why the family are coming and we're settling down for Christmas. Now I wish you all a super merry Christmas however you choose to celebrate. Hope you have a great time and some rest. And I'm excited to show you some videos of how I build the bubblers for the wash and pack station along with this dryer that you've seen. And I'll be making a whole bunch of videos next year. So all the best to you, your families, and let's make 2021. Awesome. See you in a video.
