Richard Perkins shows off his new hardcover book Ridgedale Farm Builds, which contains 22 farm-build projects with 3D CAD plans by Moritz. Kickstarter backers get copies first, then it hits the website in a few weeks. A PDF is already downloadable.

All right, Exciting day today. Six tons of my new book has showed up. The third book from this printer. I'm super proud and excited to show you the book. Okay, Ridgedale Farm Builds arriving. Okay, super exciting. Now this. This book has been a labour of love over the winter with my collaborator Moritz, who's put together the 3D CAD plans to make this super accurate and easy to follow so that any of you can build things that we've built that have been popularised around the world now with more precision than we actually built them ourselves. Because everything in this book started out as back of the Napkin sketches in one of 40 moleskins that I've got. This is my very first look at the books. So I'm super excited. Now, I've got to say, the next few weeks we're on holiday and we're going to be fulfilling all the Kickstarter books before this is available for sale on the website. We're just in the links below along with our other book, Regenerative Agriculture. The PDF copy is available for immediate download, but let's have a look. This is a hard copy book and I talked with the printer about wanting to be able to have it opened out on a worktop so that you can really sit and look at the plans while you're building stuff. We didn't do that with Regenerative Agriculture because it was too heavy to be able to post that. This has been really beautifully put together. I just creased the back cover. That's better. Look at that beautiful hardcover book. This printer I've used for making small farms work, which got superseded by regenerative agriculture and so it was a natural choice for me. They're a printer in Poland. They're a Christian foundation that I took a tour on. If you look back at our channel, you can see how they actually make regenerative agriculture. You can see all the printing machines and it's just a fascinating process. They actually own a coppice agroforestry site that they use to heat their buildings and they use the best paper and ink sources that are possible. Although it's limited what you can do with ink industry, it's never truly sustainable. So six tons of books arrived and they come beautifully packaged in these blocks of three to keep them in pristine condition. Has just started raining now, but let's have a look. It's looking like it's going to be a fantastic book. Wow. I've been waiting a long time for this, though. Many of you will have already got the PDF copy already, which is available on our website, but it's a beautiful thing. It's similar paper quality to making to regenerative agriculture to keep the weight down. But look at the quality of the printout. It's beautiful. And so this will enable you to take any of the 22 projects that we've built on the farm and you've got all the details, measurements, links to sources, etc. Which means you can replicate any of these things as health and safety papers for slaughtery. The eggmobile structure which has become iconic, I would guess. Nest boxes. How to do winter setups and lean to barns. Low cost development around the farm. Lean to greenhouse compost bays. Our caterpillar design that we sell all around Europe. A wash pack station that is a multifunctional car park. How to build yurts from scratch. A sauna. Oh, beautiful. It's a really nice finish. And I just got an email from Moritz today. I said good timing. The books are coming in an hour and here they are. Tree bogs, ergonomic stairs, everything you need. So for those of you curious, you can find out the website more about it. But I'll just show you the contents that you can see all of the structures that are included in here. Who's that good looking fella? I'm so happy we went for the hardcover option. It's definitely a sturdy book and really no problem to have that out on your counter. If you're building nest boxes, you can just have that sitting out and it sits perfectly because it's such a wide spine that people suggested ring binders, but we just don't need ring binders and they don't look good either. And this will be extremely hard wearing. So exciting, folks. I'm really excited to be able to bring that to you. Now. It's going to be a little while. As I said, I've got to fulfill the Kickstarter orders first. And there's a bit of logistics to work out our labeling system so that the two different books can end up in the right place, that there's no mistakes there. I want to deal with all of those first. It'll be a few weeks, maybe a month before this comes out for sale on the website. Because I'm going to be away with the kids now. We're actually leaving tomorrow morning to go to the west coast for a nice long period and then we're heading off to the east coast as well. But I couldn't wait to show you the book. I'm really excited. Got to get these packed up in the barn. Now you can find out where to get the PDF as well as her signature manual Regenerative Agriculture in the links below. I look forward to giving you some updates for my holiday soon.
