Sa. That winter look is far away. It's veg box day. How's the veg busters, guys? Some onions. There's carrots coming out now. Did you have to dig them out? No, we could just pull them out. Oh, no. Dig carrots. Love it. So lots of veg in abundance now. Peas are coming in. Got like 10 beds of peas taking 5 kilos out of each. So a lot of snap peas. And over here we've got a lot of the salad still going and some of it's bolting here because we just can't get rid of it quick enough. It's so over produced compared to what we were expecting. More peas, beets and radishes underneath. Some really beautiful radishes this year. Beautiful broccolis and beautiful cabbage. The color that they are, that's taken out beautiful cabbage cabbages. We've never had really great head cabbages, but these look fantastic. You happy with them? Pardon me? You happy with them? Yeah, very much so. It's a tiara variety from Johnny Seeds. Okay. American variety. Yeah. And I found out who Johnny is. Oh yeah? Who's Johnny? Johnny is Mr. Johnson. He started the company in the, I think early 70s. Decided to call the company Johnny's. There you go. Learn something every day. Snap piece is beautiful. We got about six weeks off these. What to say? Like just take out everything so you can then take a picture. That's the sort of thing. So it's veg box day, but it's also mulching tree day. So we're going to mulch top, fill today. All the trees and bushes there. We're just digging out the winter bedding of the barn. See, it's nice and dry under here. After about 80 centimeters of bedding here, it's quite dusty work. So we're using the last year's chicken bedding and dropping it down on each plant. Two shovels for a berry bush, three for hazel, five for a fruit tree. And we've got a team coming behind. There's a team in front weeding. Sorry, I'm out of rhythm now. There's a team in front just pulling any weeds out of the bases of the bush and team behind tidying up the mulch and pulling it, pulling it away from the stems. Look at these beautiful gooseberries. Hinamaki reds. They go dark red, purple. We got a lot of them. So this is Ben Lomond. Got a broken branch here, but as you can see, it's loaded. Soon it'll be time to start harvesting these. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, You want a bit concrete floor and a bobcat next time. Now it's coming up to lunchtime. We've made a proper dent in this lot. We've got one tree laying to go. So a little late lunch, but job nearly done. Look at all them red currants. Time to harvest? I don't know. 8 and 15 is 23 weekly orders. Sweet. So Van's going out to Rico and we're taking a lot of beer from the local brewer and we're giving it away free to people. And he wants to promote his brewery and it's a nice gift for people. So it's a low alcohol beer. What was the idea with the beer? It's a win, win, win. People get to try a local beer and get some promotion in Rico for him. He's too busy. He's all over the place delivering Christian all the time. And also people will say, hey, Bridge, Dale's giving out beer. What's going on over there? Mustang mix. Kanga boxes. Really loving these kanga boxes. Super nice job, gang. So this is this week's big chef with salad, turnips and peas, fresh garlics, fennels, cucumber, carrots, some herbs, there's mint here, beets, different types of kale. Nice head cabbage, kohlrabi. First chance coming through. Onions and a couple of mescaline mixes. Really full box. These are 295 crowns. For subscribers, that's about 29.€5. And for Rico, one time only people, we sell them for 350, €35. We calculate the value of the vegetables at the price we sell. Some of the boxes go out at about €40 of value and pegged against organic vegetable prices here. But that's a very full box. It only just fits in the camera frame. Very nice. Beautiful. No dig vegetables. Very good job. All rounds. So this is a half share box, small box with chard and different kales and dill and mint. Got some beautiful onions here too. And head cabbage and carrots. And in here there's also fennel and garlic, turnips and salad radish, as well as some sugar snap peas. Amazing bountiful supply of peas right now. So that's a half share, which is about €15. 150 crowns here. Very nice box too.
