Richard Perkins (speaker) announces the launch of the "Farm Like a Hero Experience" as a birthday gift/project: a membership-backed series of long-form video/audio interviews with regenerative farmers, a companion book of farm case studies, a dedicated community forum, and weekly Q&A sessions with Perkins through to November. The project aims to spotlight ~75–100 regenerative farms across scales (market gardening, pastured poultry, cattle, etc.), support the local integrity-food movement during COVID-19, and is offered on promotion until 11 June at €75 for six months.

Welcome back to another episode. It's my birthday and I've been 38 times around the sun or lived through 494 new moons, whichever way you want to look at it. And I'm super excited to announce my gift to you on my birthday for the world is that we're launching the Farm Like a Hero Experience. So those of you that have been following us know that I was meant to be on tour right now, going around Europe to film a lot of our past students and interns and people really pushing the forefront of the regenerative ag movement. COVID 19 has meant people have been seeing sales increases of two to three times. And I think the local integrity food movement is really changing for the better for the long term. But it means that I'm at the farm and so we'll be bringing you our regular farm updates and content that we always put out. I've decided to put this project on anyway because even if I can't get around and film people's farms, what we've been able to do, and we've started already, is filming long form conversations that are going to be available both as video and audio format. And we're going to be creating a book of all the different farms. A bit like what's in the back of our book, the case studies in the back of regenerative agriculture, but a little bit longer than that. Really bring the visual element of those farms and really help promote these unsung heroes as well as put out a great resource of all the different scales enterprises, how people have started up, what works well, what doesn't, the insights, how to deal with regulations, etc. So we felt after analyzing the situation, it was much more beneficial to continue the project than to just stop it. Now we're doing a lot more than just interviewing a lot of amazing farmers. We're also going to be doing questions and answers on a weekly basis with me till the end of the year, year running through to November. And so all in all, there's going to be hundreds of hours of content. We decided to create a membership site to really double down our focus on the people who are with us who really want to dig into pioneering the next phase of integrity food. And so we've made it as low cost and affordable as possible. It's now on promotion till 11 June at €75 for the six months, which equates to just €3 a week and further translates to less than €0.50 per hour of content with a huge amount of insights and experience. Shared there. So beyond the interviews and the questions and answers weekly with myself, that will give you access directly to me during the time that the membership site is open, we'll also be making this book and we'll also be making a dedicated Facebook group where we can really connect and share on a much more intimate level. The era of good Facebook groups is really over in my mind and I really want to try and build a forum where we can double down on our connections and community building during this time. We've seen people have to pivot their business really rapidly in this situation. We've seen amazing insights so far. I filmed a lot of interviews, still following the route that I was going to take through Europe, but having much more deep and long conversations, which I think brings out a totally different element than filming the farms. So hopefully the book will complement that for everyone and I'm really excited to see the network that can build out of this. I've had a lot of fun recording these episodes so far. Been speaking with tool makers as well as other pioneers in the field, but we've got at least 75, maybe up to a hundred of the best regenerative farmers to bring to you. People that you're not going to hear about necessarily otherwise. And that was really the point of the tours, to shine the light on the people that you're not aware of who are doing incredible things, people just like you, normal people who are just getting started intelligently with the resources at hand, whether they're on rented land, whether they've bought a piece of land to get stuck, or inherited the family farm. We've got all types of farming involved, from market gardening to pastured poultry and building your own infrastructure, slaughter facilities to large scale extensive enterprises like cattle breeding, etc. So really excited to bring that to you. And on my birthday I'm even more excited to say this is live and you can join us now. So we'll see you in there.
I'm super excited to announce the Farm.
