The video presents a newly written version of the traditional hymn "Brethren, We Have Met to Worship," featuring a fast‑tempo guitar accompaniment and an original chorus. The performance is delivered by three vocalists (Speaker A, B, and C) who alternate verses and harmonize on repeated refrains. The lyrics emphasize worship, prayer, the need for the Holy Spirit, repentance, and the promise of divine provision, while also introducing fresh lines such as a call to “come bow down” and references to Moses’ sister Adah. The arrangement showcases a collaborative, energetic worship style aimed at inspiring listeners to engage in prayer and devotion.

Chapters

Here's a new version of "Brethren, We Have Met to Worship" that I wrote with a new chorus. I hope you enjoy it. 1, 2, 3, 4.
Brethren, we have met to worship and adore the Lord our God. Will you pray with all your power while we try to preach the word?
All is vain unless the The Spirit of the Holy One comes down.
Brethren, pray and holy manna will be showered all around. Brethren, seek poor sinners round you slumping on the brink of woe. Death is coming, hell is moving. Can you bear to let them go?
See our fathers and our mothers and our children sinking down.
Brethren, pray and holy manna will be showered all around.
Come bow down, rend your hearts before him now. Gathered here on holy ground, come bow down.
Sisters, will you join and help us? Moses' sister, Adah, will you help the trembling mourners who are struggling hard with sin? Tell them all about the Savior, tell them that he will be found. Sisters, pray and holy manna will be showered.
All around. Come bow down, rend your hearts before him now, gathered here on holy ground. Come bow down.
to love each other too. Let us love and pray for sinners till our God makes all things new.
Then he'll call us home to heaven. At his table we'll sit down.
Christ will gird himself and serve us with tweed manner all around.
Come bow down, rend your garments, Rend your hearts before him now, gathered here on holy ground. Come bow down, come bow down. Rend your hearts before him now, gathered here on holy ground. Come bow down.
So I hope you like it. If you do like it, I can get you a lead sheet for that. So just let me know through my website at rickleejames.com or on Twitter @RickLeeJames. Thank you.
