Kingdom Come, a transfiguration hymn. High upon a mountain steep, Jesus led his dearest friends. Peter, James, and John, all three, would gaze upon the kingdom come. Gaze upon the kingdom come. 6 days before, the Lord had said, as the crowd drew near to him, some of you will not taste death before you see the kingdom come. Fore you see the kingdom come. Now in the presence of the Lord, Peter, James, and John beheld the Savior clothed in dazzling light, a vision of the kingdom come.— A vision of the kingdom come. In the glowing light of God, the law and prophets came in view, as Moses and Elijah there spoke with the living kingdom come. Spoke with the living kingdom come. As trembling Peter tried to speak, an ancient cloud surrounded them, and from the cloud there came a voice, an echo of the kingdom come. Echo of the kingdom come. The voice of God inside the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son. Hear the message that he brings, and you will hear the kingdom come." and you will hear the kingdom come. Suddenly they looked around, and only Jesus stood with them. And by the mystery they beheld, we now proclaim the kingdom come. We now proclaim that kingdom come! We declare the Kingdom Come; we declare the Kingdom Come; we declare the Kingdom Come; we declare the Kingdom Come— We declare the kingdom come. Yes, we declare the kingdom come.
