In this YouTube video, Rick Lee James presents a fresh musical arrangement of the classic Isaac Watts hymn "O God, Our Help in Ages Past." He introduces a newly written bridge that explicitly incorporates Trinitarian theology, aiming to address what he perceives as a deficiency in contemporary worship's emphasis on the Trinity. The video includes a spoken introduction explaining the purpose of the bridge, followed by a sung rendition that weaves traditional verses with the added Trinitarian lyrics, referencing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as well as the Alpha and Omega titles of Christ. The arrangement maintains the hymn’s original melody while extending its theological scope to affirm the three persons of the Godhead.
