In this brief YouTube clip, a vocalist (Speaker A) leads a short rendition of Andrew Peterson’s song “All Things New,” emphasizing the lyric “He makes all things new.” The music pastor, Rick Lee James (Speaker B), then welcomes listeners to a “New Year’s Sunday” worship service at First Church of the Nazarene. He outlines the service’s theme—God’s newness—and lists the planned songs: “All Things New” (Andrew Peterson), “Holy Spirit” (the Gettys), “Your Great Name” (Michael Neal), and the classic hymn “How Great Thou Art.” He provides practical details (Sunday morning, 901 East Home Road, website www.homeroadnaz.org) and his Twitter handle @RickLeeJames, inviting the audience to join and experience transformation through God’s renewing work as the new year begins.

Rise up, all you sleeping awake. The light of the dawn is upon you. Rise up, all you sleeping awake. He makes all things new. He makes all things new. ¡All things new!
Good morning and welcome to this edition of getting ready, preparing our hearts for worship on Sunday. And this is for what we would probably call New Year's Sunday. It's actually still in the season of Christmas, but we're going to be focusing on new things. New things that day. We are going to be singing songs like "All Things New" by Andrew Peterson that I was just playing, "Holy Spirit" by the Gettys, a song called "Your Great Name" by Michael Neal, and even an old standard, "How Great Thou Art," where we are going to be focusing in on the newness of God. Each of those things actually speak of the newness and the new life and the new beginnings and the new creation that God is bringing about. So I hope you'll be able to join us at First Church of the Nazarene on Sunday morning at 901 East Home Road. You can find out more about, about us on our website at www.homeroadnaz.org. That's homeroadnaz.org. I'm Rick Lee James, the music pastor here, and you can find me on Twitter @RickLeeJames. And we hope to see you next Sunday as we celebrate the newness of creation, the newness of life, that our Lord really truly does make all things new. And as we head into this new year, um, we can hopefully discover some of that newness together and be transformed together into new life.
