Whatever You Do (to the least of these) - Live From The Wesley Songwriting Summit 2024

this, but this is based on the sheep and the goats passage, and it kind of takes a turn at the end. So here we go, all my quick talking is over. When you saw me hungry, you gave me food to eat. When you saw me thirsty, you gave me water. When I was a stranger, opened up your door. When you saw me shivering, clothed and made me warm. Whatever you do to the least of these, do it unto me. When you serve the broken, the poor, the lost, you're serving Christ your King. When you love your neighbor, when you love your enemy. Whatever you do to the least of these, do it on my name. When you saw me hurting, came to soothe my pain. When you saw me locked up, came to my prison. When you When you saw me hopeless, you brought joy into my life. When you saw me suffering, you stayed right by my side. And whatever you do to the least of these, do it unto me. When you serve the broken, the poor, the lost, you're serving Christ, your King. When you love your neighbor, When you love your enemy, whatever you do, do it in the least of these, do it unto me. The faces of the poor are the faces of the Lord, and the faces of the sick are the faces of the Lord. And the faces of the addicts, the drag queens, the convicts, the beggars, the atheists, the Muslims, the racists, the Jews, the gays, the Christians, the straights, the Republicans and the Democrats, and the prostitutes and the diplomats, and the elderly and the homeless, the disabled, The disabled and the fatherless, the blind, the deaf, those unsure of their righteousness. And the doctors and the lawyers and the pastors and the soldiers and the humble and the vain, those abused in Jesus' name. And the cowardly and the fearless and the selfish and the generous and the hardworking the lazy, those who the world calls crazy, and the bitter, the downhearted. Oh, we've barely gotten started. Whatever you do to the least of these, whatever you do to the least of these, you do it unto me. Oh, you do it all for me.
