One thing that can impact your child's studies and focus is emotional stress. We often think that our children do not want to focus. They don't want to study because they are distracted. They just want their phones, they just want to have fun with their friends and they are lazy. The reason can be totally different. The reason could be that your child is feeling upset, your child is feeling anxious and your child is feeling disconnected at home. When they are not feeling emotionally connected, their brain gets into the survival mode and when a brain is in the survival mode, they cannot focus on learning. So before you ask your child why are you not studying? Ask this instead. How are you feeling? Because when your child is feeling safe and when your child is feeling emotionally supported, they will naturally want to learn. You do not have to push them to learn. They will focus and they will also perform better.
