A short motivational YouTube talk by parenting coach Riddhi Deorah urging parents—particularly mothers—to address emotional struggles in themselves and their children immediately, using the analogy of promptly fixing a broken phone to justify investing in emotional health and self-care.
Imagine if your phone suddenly stopped working today. Are you going to wait for months before you fix your phone? No. You are going to immediately go to the shop, you're going to replace it, or you're going to get it fixed. So if we can replace and fix something as simple as a phone, why not help our children fix the different problems that they are going through? And sometimes not our children. But we are going through different challenges and we know that we are not feeling emotionally good. We are feeling lost, we are feeling confused, we are feeling stress. We are not able to guide our children properly. And sometimes, despite of trying everything, it's not working out for us. So when we are willing to replace and fix something as simple as a phone, why not take charge of our emotional health and do something about it right now? So, my dear mothers, just like you, invest in the phone, please invest in yourself, invest in your child, because there is nothing more important than you and your child's energy.
