Journey of Knowing My Son & Self Discovery | Supermom Spotlight Shraddha | Riddhi Deorah

In this Supermom Spotlight session, Riddhi Deorah interviews Shraddha Nair, a mother who faced a sudden behavioral shift in her pre‑teen son that led to family tension, personal anger, and health worries. Shraddha recounts how a desperate prayer led her to discover Riddhi’s Gold and Platinum workshops, which she joined immediately. Through daily practice of self‑connection, manifestation, and spiritual rituals (Sankirtan, Ekadashi fasting), she reports a rapid transformation: her son began smiling again, resumed studies, reduced screen time, and showed gratitude; the household atmosphere shifted from constant shouting to calm. Inspired by the results, Shraddha decided to become a coach, planning a gradual transition using Riddhi’s “weekend‑warrior” model. Riddhi shares her own mentorship philosophy—“mission first, community next, me last”—and offers practical steps for new coaches, emphasizing consistent presence, gradual income building, and avoiding premature quitting. The conversation also highlights the supportive community, the role of consistent mentorship, and the spiritual underpinnings that both women credit for the change.

Yes, thank you so much, ma'am. Uh, it's like, uh, seeing you first time in front of me in the Goa event. I was like a small girl holding a lollipop, like, you know, was just looking at you like this. I didn't, I didn't even click a picture with you. Unless, uh, until and unless I got that award, I was just like sitting like this. And then at the end of everything, I just realized that what a fool I am. Like, I know I could click pictures with you, but I was just sitting and I was just amazed, you know, your aura and your, uh, positive vibe. It was just so, so amazing. I've only been seeing in Zoom, but, uh, it was really a wonderful experience, ma'am. Thank you so much. I would love everybody, please come to the retreat, Goa treat because it's, it's worth it and it's one time of an experience, I would really say. Yeah, ma'am, I started my journey. I just could stop myself actually. I just wanted to just tell this.
Thank you.
And lovely family, ma'am. Very like really touched and, um, I felt great seeing everybody together. So yeah, ma'am, I'll talk about my journey. Uh, my journey in the beginning, before I joined EPH, uh, everything was great. Like, I had my job, like, I and my husband, we have a firm, and my son, he was a darling, like, good in studies, always standing first in class, and in co-curricular activities, good. Like, I used to get praises from his teachers, and husband was also very supportive and loving. My in-laws were really very good. Everything was very nice in the beginning, but as my son became preteen, I don't know what, something changed. He started, you know, I could see a change in him. He started becoming angry, frustrated, and he stopped smiling. What the change was that that smiling boy had completely stopped smiling. I had to tell him, like, what happened? Why aren't you smiling? And then he would just give us fake smile. And, uh, I didn't know what was happening, but I knew something was going wrong. And then he started blaming me. Mama, you are teaching me all wrong things. Why did you teach me to help people? Why did you teach me to do all the good things? Were bad to him now. So I used to wonder what's wrong. And he didn't want to study. He stopped studying. He stopped doing homework. He didn't want to go to school also. So I was getting very worried, and slowly, slowly, the person that I was, I was also changing. I started getting frustrated, stressed, and I started becoming an angry mother. I guess I was helpless, so that turned into something else, and I started shouting that, 'Why are you sitting like this? Why are you like that?' And then the atmosphere in the house was very bad because I used to be only shouting and shouting and yelling. And I was never like this. And I remember the day when my husband told me that, 'I don't want— what is happening? You know, whenever I come back from work, you are always shouting at him, and I don't like this,' you know. And that is something that hit me hard because the way he told me. And, uh, and for me also, my anger was reaching to such a limit that I could get headaches. My head used to pain. And, you know, I— and then I was getting worried that something might happen to me one day. I would just fall. A stroke or something because that intensity was so high. Then slowly I started, you know, realizing that something has to be done. I cannot, uh, carry on like this. My son needs help. I need help. I, I just started praying. I said, God, please find me a way. I need answers for my solution. And I literally was crying that day, and, uh, I don't know what magic That's what they say, that when you say some things, you know, like Saraswati Mai sitting on your tongue, and it happens, you know. And that day, magic. I was, you know, just— I'm generally not on social media that much, maybe once in a while. And that day I just went on Facebook just to see one of my relatives' photographs. She had just sent me a message that, Shradha, please check, and I saw your ad. You know, and you know, something in me just said, shut up, this is the answer, this is what you were searching. And I just, you know, it was a— you were having Gold Workshop. I immediately registered, I joined, and I just, I just didn't think. I just came into Gold membership, and then my main motive was to learn. And I have to learn, I have to get answers, what to do, how to do. So like, I started from the first day, I started my learning, 20 10 minutes. I, in fact, I started giving 40 minutes because I wanted to learn, you know. And then I understood that what I was thinking, that something was wrong with my child, is not that. And he, you know, I have to understand him. I have to work on my energy. And that's what happened. And my journey started. And within a week, I was talking to most of the mothers in the group, and they were telling, we are Platinum. And I said, what is this Platinum? You know, I'm hearing a lot of my mothers talking Platinum, Platinum. Until then, you are not announced anything. And I wasn't aware. I just spent that day, so I said, God, I want to join Platinum. Within 2 days you announced that there's going to be a Platinum, you know, a workshop. And I said, yes, I'm going to be a part of it. And then I told my husband, because I have that tendency of telling my husband everything. So when I told my husband, my husband said, uh, you've only been a week, right, in Gold? I said, yeah, why you want to join suddenly? I said, no, no, no, I, I believe in Riddhi Ma'am things are working. And in this one week, I could see a change in my energy. Like, you know, I was implementing what all you used to say in self-connection. I was doing that. So I could feel, you know, little, little change in my energy. And I was saying, no, this is going to work. I'm 100% sure. And then he said, just give it a month, you know, because like how everybody's saying, my husband also said the same thing. Give it a month. You know, it's an online thing. And how can you trust? I said, no, I trust her. He said, no, but give it a month. And again, that day I manifested that I am enjoying Platinum. And that is the power of manifestation I understood that day, ma'am, because I started manifesting. And you would not believe, in 10 days when your Platinum Showcase happened, I was adamant that ₹20,000 deposit I'm going to do, rest later on I'll figure it out. So then I just went and told my husband because I know sometimes he's very stubborn, he will not change. So I still went with an open mind, and I was— meanwhile, I was manifesting every day. That day I went and told my husband that, uh, today is a Platinum Workshop and I'm going for it. I mean, I don't know what happened. The person who was telling no, no, no, no, he just looked at me and said 'Are you, are you really serious?' I said, 'Yeah.' 'Okay, go for it.' And I was like, 'Wow, I can't even believe this thing could happen,' you know. And then I said, 'Divine, divine, divine energy.' Like, as if this is for me, like everything is falling in the place, you know. And then I said, 'Yes, let's go for it.' And then there was no looking back. I joined Platinum, I went into learning, and Then next round started, that also I said yes, I'm gonna go for leadership. And then, you know, and everything, you know, I could see a change. And the best part was that when I am learning, my energy is changing, and I could see a change in my son. My son who would not want to go to school, not do homework, not smile— ma'am, he came one fine day from school and he was smiling. And I can't tell you, I was waiting for that. And I literally— tears started coming from my eyes when I saw him smiling. I just went and hugged him. I said, uh, I am— I'm waiting— I was waiting for this smile. And every day I should tell you, smile, smile, and used to come with that grumpy look. He said, Mama, I don't know what happened today. I just— when I saw you, I just felt like smiling. And you know, and then like something changed after that. Like the, the boy who would complain every day and, you know, say certain things to hurt me, started, you know, talking nicely. And then I could see a change in him. Like, he would say that, Mama, I know, you know, you are always there, you're always taking care of me. I'm sorry, I'm sorry I've been hurting you, I'm sorry. And, you know, I just— I was like, what is happening? Like, you know, like everything was changing. And that boy was not studying and who used to be a good student earlier, he has come back, started taking out his books, doing homework, and screen time screen time. I don't know, he would not listen to us. Like, it had come to that limit that I had to literally snatch the remote, remove the plug. Like, it was so extreme. He— I, you know, I said setting boundaries. Exactly 1 hour, he would switch off the TV, come and study, do his work. Like, I didn't have to tell him. And I was saying, God, like, I just had to join PlatinumLearn. I mean, I knew this was the thing. I, I could have done it long time ago. Like, you know, I I was struggling with it for so many days. Like, everything is back. My peace of my house is back. I'm not shouting or yelling anymore. I have become back to the calm Shraddha that I was, and everything is so good. And my son is also happy. He's doing all his work, he's studying, he's again coming first, and screen time has reduced. And I can't tell you, I'm so grateful. Thank you so much. Thank you so much, ma'am. Like, really joining Platinum has changed, changed my full life. And thank you. Even being in leadership has also, you know, changed me. In fact, uh, given me so many amazing friends here, like, who don't judge you, who are always there for you. And, you know, any time of the day you can reach out to them. And amazing mothers. I would really— it was real. And like, I never thought of becoming a coach because I was very happy in my job. But now after joining Leadership, I call it divine energy or whatever, divine calling. Now I told my husband I'm going to quit the job and I'm going to go into coaching because I feel that what I have learned from you, I should give it back. And, uh, there are so many mothers out there who need, you know, who need that helping hand, who need to know certain things, awareness. And I'm going to do that.
So don't quit. Thank you so much. Build, then quit.
Yeah, he was telling me the same thing. Yes, please don't quit now.
I'll tell you the same. So don't quit, you know, because what will happen— and this is what happened with a lot of people, you know— you quit, then you're only thinking about money instead of thinking about creating impact. And then people will sense that in your energy. See, because see, if you are starting from nothing, let's say you're a homemaker, you, you don't have your own money, then it is easy because you're used to that lifestyle. But if you're a working mother, you're used to seeing money in your account. Now from there to not seeing money in your account, what will happen? Your focus will go into I need to make the money, money is not coming. So then your coaching, even though you'll do it with your heart, but at the back of your mind you'll keep thinking about money. So I would recommend that, you know, you first become a weekend warrior, Saturday, Sundays. So I have a friend, he would do this. So Saturdays he would do his master class, Sundays he would do his weekly calls. So you start with like one master— one webinar a week. So Saturdays you do your masterclass where you sell your Level 1, and on Sundays you do your weekly nurturing calls for your students. So Saturday, Sunday, and they'll also be happy because Saturday they come, Sunday they get to meet you, and then you do your next. And in between, if you see it during the weekday evening, you get time, once again you can like meet them for an hour. Because in the beginning the community will be small, so you can keep the call duration 45 minutes to 1 hour also, and then you slowly build. So do not quit in excitement first, you know, because everybody, you know, we are used to a certain life. So if you're a homemaker, you start right now. If you are working from home, you have extra time with your work that you are doing. You're a freelancer You can anyway do. You don't have to quit anything. If you're in a job, give yourself 3 months, 4 months of creation time, 3, 4 months of trial time. When you see that at least you're making 50% of your salary through coaching, then you quit. Okay, now you continue with your story.
Yeah, ma'am, then, uh, so like Then he was also saying the same thing, that, uh, don't, don't do that. Just start off first, and then later on, slowly, slowly, you can quit. So I said— so I was just thinking about everything, like how you said, ma'am, I will take it, uh, like that. Weekends I'll keep it, and then maybe later on. So like, even like my son nowadays, like, he's observing what I'm doing. So now I started writing Radhanam, like you said. So he also told me, Mama, why don't you give me a book? So I said, I already have an extra book. But because I don't want to force him, because He's a teenager, he just turned 13 last month. So I said, no, I want— was waiting, actually I was waiting that he tells me. So he says, Mama, where is my book? I said, yes, ready. Where is my counter? I said, ready. So now he's also chanting, he's also writing Radha Nama, whatever I am doing. In fact, even Ekadashi fast, which I, I would never do because I, uh, I used to fast earlier when before my marriage, but later on I thought that maybe, you know, I'm not— I'm feeling hungry. But after I've joined Sankirtan, and all. I don't know what has happened. I can stay without water, ma'am, full day. Ekadashi is complete fast. Next day I'll get up, take a bath, pray, and then only I will drink my water. So that I'm doing twice in a month, and my son is observing that, and he's saying, Mama, soon I will do. So I said, no, it's okay, on a holiday maybe you can do. School, you don't try. No, no, I will do this exact thing how you're doing without water. I said, take it easy. He was so worried, but I said, no, no, holidays no, summer break maybe you can do. So like, he's observing the way I'm praying, everything. In fact, ma'am, yesterday was our New Year, Vishu, Malayali New Year, and I got my periods, so I can't go and pray. So we are supposed to put a lot of, you know, different types of fruits and vegetables in front of Krishna statue. And morning, 4 o'clock means 4 to 5, 5, 5, 6 is the time before the sun rises. So supposed to put the lamp. And then all the members are supposed to see the first thing is that lamp of God. So I was feeling very bad that this time I can't even enter, can't do anything. What will happen to my puja? And my son told me, Mama, what happened? I said, no, I can't go. He said, Mama, I will do. And he got up, took a bath at 4. He arranged everything. He said, Mama, you tell me what to do, I will do. And then I said, no. And I guided him standing outside, and inside he went. We have a small room. He went, he put the lamp, and he lit the lamp, and he said, Mama, all ready. And he put the song also, like Krishna's one song, crying, I think. Yeah. And I was like, God, thank you so much. Like, you know, I didn't have to tell him, he did it out of his own. And then, you know, like, my husband and all of us was shocked. Like, my God. Like, I said, oh, he's seeing me every year doing it. So like, he said, Mama, I will do. And he was— I don't know, I was so, so happy, ma'am. I was thanking God, really. Like Things are changing so much, like without me telling anything, and I'm really, really, really feeling blessed. Like, thank you so much. It's all the power of Platinum and you and God. That's what I could say. Thank you so much, really.
Love you. If you're feeling inspired, put I for inspired. And how many of you understand that, you know, it's not about the child? They will just— they are like mirroring us all the time. So, you know, Shraddha, I don't know if I'm teaching you or you're teaching me. I don't know. But right now I had a lot of learnings myself. But so inspiring. So let's put A for amazing for Shraddha.
One small thing I wanted to— sorry, sorry to interrupt you, ma'am. The 3 things that I like about you— there are many things, but I have been told to shorten it. Ma'am, showing up and being consistent, ma'am. Whatever happens, you are not well, your eyes are red, you have an allergy, but I've seen you always showing up. You can easily say that, you know, we can postpone the call or something, but you have never seen you canceling any call. You are on vacation, you are available. You are going for a wedding, in between the wedding you come running and you take a mission call and again you run. Like Hats off to you, ma'am. I don't know how you do it. Like, if I was in your place, maybe I would say I'm attending a meeting— sorry, wedding— maybe tomorrow I'll have the call. But you know, you are always showing up for— even on the wedding day, even on going— you know, you are going with your family to a vacation, you are there. It's amazing how you do it. I really know that's something that I, I am really inspired and I would like to adopt that. Like, you showing up no matter what. Yes, hats off to you, ma'am.
I do this because I want all of you to do this for your students.
It's really amazing. Anything else can wait.
My community, you know, this is what I learned from my mentor Blair, and I want to pass it back to him. Mission first, community next, me last. So whenever I have to make a decision, it's very easy for me now. I just run run it through this. Wedding, am I enjoying? Yes. But what is, what is waiting for me? The mission. My community is waiting. So of course it's not going to be about me enjoying the wedding. It's going to be about my mission first, community next, me last. And earlier, you know, I would find it very difficult to say no to people because, uh, that's how I was brought up. I never heard my mom saying no to anybody. So, you know, I just used to feel that if I say no, it means I disrespect them. But then, you know, because of this checklist that I got from Blair, it became so easy. Because if I'm saying yes to them, I'm saying no to my mission. And now mission is before everything else, so I have to say yes to the mission. So saying no to everybody else became very easy for me. So I think, you know, you can also borrow this: mission first, community next, me last. So it's very easy.
And ma'am, you are a giver as a mentor. As whatever you are learning, you will come immediately, come and just give it to us. Like, take, you know, I have learned this, now you learn. Because I, I don't think any other mentor will ever do that. Like, you are learning, you're always learning, like lifetime learner. That is something that I taken from you. LLL, like learn, give, learn, give. Like really amazing, ma'am.
