Riddhi Deorah breaks down five phrases that damage kids: telling them to stop crying, saying you don't have time, doing things for them instead of letting them try, comparing them to siblings or friends, and dismissing their concerns as unimportant. Each one teaches a harmful lesson, from suppressing emotions to feeling worthless.

Stop saying these things to your child. 1. Stop crying. I am so sick of you. Please don't say this to your child. By doing this, you are forcing your child to suppress their emotions and this suppression will eventually lead to depression. 2. I don't have the time for you. There is so much to do. Again, avoid doing this because children want to feel that you really love them and they are the most important thing in your life. Third, you'll never be able to do this, so let mummy take care of this. Don't do this because by doing this you're discouraging your child and showing them that they are not capable of a few things. Fourth, I wish you were more like your friend or I wish you could do things like your brother or your sister. Again, don't do this because this will make your child feel that they are never enough for you. And fifth, that's not important. You don't have to do this right now. Avoid this because by doing this you're not giving importance to your child's interest and slowly they will start to cut off from everything.
