A parent who teaches values but doesn't live them creates confusion in their child. The speaker maps four parental approaches: teaching and practicing creates a grounded child, teaching without practicing causes confusion, practicing without teaching leaves kids feeling lost, and doing neither breeds anxiety.

If you are teaching positive values and you're also practicing positive values, then your child will become a spiritually grounded child. But if you're teaching positive values and not practicing those positive values, then your child will become very confused. If you're not teaching positive values but you're practicing positive values, which means your child is seeing you but not learning from you directly, your child will feel very disconnected and lost. And if you're not teaching positive values and you're not even practicing positive values, your child will become anxious and stressed.
