Hello, beautiful people. What I'm going to be talking about today is how to make millions, if not billions of dollars, which is what it seems like everybody in the world is focused on and everybody wants to do. But the problem with that is that whenever I talk to someone who's already in that position, who's already a millionaire, and I've connected with three billionaires just this past year alone, it always seems like what they focus on is not the same thing the rest of the world focuses on. What it seems like is that people who go out into the workforce, what they focus on is how much money can I make? How can I take the job that gets me the most money? How can I go for the degree that's going to get me the most money? And then they go out into the workforce focusing on how they can make the most money. They take the job that pays $5,000 more just because it's more money, and they end up hating it. But that's the wrong process if you want to become rich. It seems to be very simple. And from the people that I've connected with that are extremely successful, and what all of them say is pretty much the exact same thing. You don't focus on money because money is not what you're actually going for. What you focus on is providing as much value as you possibly can to as many people as possible. Money is the byproduct of providing tons and tons of value to as many people as possible. It's like Peter Diamandez says. He says, don't worry about becoming a billionaire. Figure out how you can provide value to a billion people, and then at one point in time in your life, you could probably charge them $1 for that piece of value, and you will then become a billionaire. That's why if you look at people that we look up to the most, like Elon Musk or like Steve Jobs or all of those, whether you like them or not, they were never focused on the money. The money was never part of the equation. The money came when they provided immense amounts of value to people across the world. Value is the destination that you should be focusing on. So if you're thinking to yourself, how can I make as much money as possible? You're already going down the wrong road. What you should be thinking, you should be asking yourself, is, how can I provide as much value to as many people as possible? Another reason why you want to focus on value versus just money and digits in your bank account is because, think of it this way. Would you rather have a lot of people at your funeral, or would you rather have a lot of digits in your bank account when you die? Which one is more important? Let's say you become rich when you die. Do you want to be known as the person who was really good at making money and had a lot of toys, or do you want to be known as a person who impacted many, many people's lives and just so happen to make a lot of money doing it? There's only one reason why people get where they want to be in life, and the reason why is because they're putting people don't get to where they want to be in life is the reason why is because they're putting money in the forefront and they're constantly thinking about how they can make more when they should be thinking about one thing, and that's value. So the thing that I want you to realize is that if you want to be successful, if you want to be happy, if you can focus on providing as much value to as many people as possible and just focus on that, you'll notice that eventually the money will start coming in, because money is a byproduct of adding value to people's lives.
