Tony Robbins says suicidal thoughts often stem from losing hope in the future. He argues that changing your posture, speech speed, and tone can shift your brain chemistry and restore that sense of purpose, without medication.
You've dealt with many people who have suicidal ideation and never lost anybody. Do you feel like the main thing is that there's no, I guess, light at the end of the tunnel?
That's certainly one of the things, because anybody can deal with, as I said, a tough today if they have a compelling tomorrow. But getting people to that point requires a biochemical change. Change their physiology, bring their shoulders back, you change the tempo which they're speaking, you change how their voice is, you change their movements. With punctuated movements, that person's biochemistry changes. You don't need a drug to do it and has no side effects.
