The Why Behind The Goal

What's the chance of you making a million dollars this year legally in the next 12 months? And I said, what's the percentage chance? And people say, oh, 0%, 1% chance, 2% chance. And then I say, well, what's the percentage chance of you making a million dollars this year legally in the next 12 months? And if you don't, everybody that you know, that you love and everybody in your family gets killed, right? And it's very extreme, but I say, what's the percentage chance of you doing it? And everyone says, 100%, 100%, 100%. And it's just the goal didn't change. The timeframe didn't change. The only thing that changed was their why behind the goal, Their strong emotional attachment to it. If somebody's entire family's life depends on it, they're not going to wake up and go, I'm not motivated today. Right? It doesn't matter. Because their why is so strong. They're going to get up, they're going to get it done, they're going to wake up earlier than they ever have, they're going to work harder, they're going to be more efficient, more productive. And so motivation is very fleeting. What people are looking for is discipline. And the way to get discipline is to have your goal and then have an extremely strong why behind that goal.
