One morning, there's a boy who's walking along a beach, and he came across a part of the beach where there are thousands of starfish that had been washed up the night before from a terrible storm. He knew that if the starfish were out of the water for too long, all of them would die. So whenever he passed a starfish, he'd pick it up and he'd throw it back into the ocean. And people on the beach watch this little boy with amusement. He'd been doing this for some time when an older man approached him, walked up to Little boy and said, little boy, why are you doing this? Look at this beach. You can't even begin to save all of these starfish. The boy seemed deflated, but after a few minutes, he bent down, picked up another starfish fish, and threw it as far as he could into the ocean. He looked back at that man and replied, well, it made a difference for that one, didn't it? The little boy's heart inspired him, and that old man decided to join the little boy and started throwing starfish back into the ocean. Within minutes, many of the other people on the beach joined in. So just remember, listening to a story like this, you're never too small to make a difference in someone's life. Don't worry about if the difference that you're going to make is a big difference or a small difference. The only thing that you should be focused on every day is trying to make a difference in the world.
