Cybersecurity expert with Hotspot Shield, Robert Siciliano, is with me now. Robert, 80% of those in the U.S. charged with supporting ISIS either communicated or were recruited via social media. How can tech companies do more to help the U.S. combat terrorism?
Well, certainly, uh, tech companies are tasked with policing their own networks for a variety of disturbing content. I would say that this is without a doubt disturbing content, and if it's there to disrupt the homeland, then they willingly should do something about it.
What about the idea that the best and brightest can do a sabbatical with the US government? Anyone we've spoken with in the past few weeks has said the FBI, the CIA, they need help. Is that a possibility, or this information's just way too sensitive?
Well, certainly, um, those in a position of trust, uh, those that have been vetted, uh, security clearances by government officials, uh, would certainly be in a position to assist. And, you know, we have some very bright minds here in this country that could, uh, go a long way into, uh, disrupting, uh, ISIS ideology.
Robert Siciliano, we thank you for joining us there. Thank you. Cyber expert.
