Welcome to the show today. My guest today is Harry Massey. He is an internationally recognized innovator, entrepreneur and thought leader in bioenginex, the science of energy flow and living systems. After overcoming a debilitating illness through energy based therapies, Harry dedicated his life to developing groundbreaking tools and technologies that measure, manage and master energy for optimal health. As the founder and CEO of Energy for Life, Harry has pioneered wellness products including the ME Health Device, the Gym Wearable and the bioenergetic voice scan technology. He is also a key figure in researching and creating infraceuticals, which are structured water remedies imprinted with bioenergetic information to support the body's energy systems. Harry's work has been featured in Walt's documentaries and major media outlets and he is sought after speaker on topics ranging from energy, medicine and biography to the intersection of quantum physics and holistic wellness. Welcome to the show Harry. I want to welcome a longtime friend back to the show, Harry Massie, who recently left us and moved back to Salt Lake or I'm sorry, Park City. Don't want to say just Salt Lake. And he has an incredible story and really opened my eyes to the field of bioenergetics and pharmaceuticals and I've learned a great deal by attending both his his meetings. Energy but just the research that's being done on bioenergetics and energy based therapies are I think the next kind of things that we should be entertaining and adding to armamentariums for our clients. So really happy to have Harry Massey on the show today.
Thank you Rob. Great to be here for everybody.
Harry, I mean your story is one of a debilitating illness that really led you on this journey. Can you give us a story that we can then put together how it got you from there to here now?
Yeah, absolutely. So when I was 21. I had these free climbing accidents that led me to being, being bedridden for the next seven years. So it started with ice climbing in Scotland and I was teetering up the ice and ice is really, really brittle so it cracked. I fell down around 70 odd foot and I managed to get ice axe arrest into the slope below. But what I didn't quite realize is that day I actually fractured my spine. But I went down the mountain, had had a whiskey and I was in a lot of pain for the next few months. And I also ended up. Well I also ended up because that was in my last year of university. I was getting increasingly tired and what I didn't quite realize is I'd actually caught, I'd actually caught a virus on another climbing trip which was actually in the summer before where I was out in Europe climbing this mountain called the Dondi Giant, which is basically the giant, the Giant's tooth, which was a overhanging, overhanging face 4,000 meters up. Got it, got up there but I was sweating profusely, had had all this fever, got down the mountain like check, checked into a Hotel for 12 days with this fever and unfortunately at the time I basically caught, I think it was, you call it Epstein Bar in the States. And over that next year of the university I was just getting increasingly exhausted. I graduated, took a job in London and I was so tired I ended up being fired from my job. Didn't know what to do. So I went back out, back out to the Alps and this time I got so exhausted I got stuck in a tent and just eating dried bananas and water for the next 10 days. Drove back to England, stopping on the highway every 45 minutes or so. Didn't know what to do with my life because I'd basically been fired. I was exhausted, couldn't really work so I was like, oh, I'll just re enroll back in university. And did an mba. Couldn't do that properly so I split it over two years I was dragging myself to lectures but in the last year I couldn't actually get to lectures. Ended up in a wheelchair and long story short, I ended up doing my final exams in a, in a wheelchair. And then after that I spent the next next seven years bedridden. Was attempted and tried every single thing that you could possibly imagine. Conventional medicine. Didn't know what to do with me. Then started getting into nutrition. Things like Holder Clark Gerson Therapy where you do all these coffee enemas and juicing. I did fast, I did a three week water fast Once passed a huge bucket full of parasites. But that made me really, really weak. And after around, it was around four, four or five years of which at that point I really, really didn't know where my life was going because I felt completely stuck. The whole biochemical dash nutritional approach was basically failing and all the naturopathic type approaches were failing. And I just sort of had this insight. It's like, well, if I don't have energy and actually I could back up a bit. The statistics for chronic fatigue are so horrible. Like if you read the books about me and chronic fatigue, they say if you've had it for longer than two years, 80% never, never recover and they see bedroom for life and die early. Well, that didn't sound great. So I was like, well there's no point following all this advice about chronic fatigue. And me, I was like, why didn't I actually study and look at energy itself and where energy comes from? Because chronic fatigue is a lack of energy. And just that little thought put me, put me in touch with this scientist from Australia. I was basically like searching the Internet, came across this scientist from Australia called Professor Peter Fraser and he'd been mapping out how energy and how the body's what we would now call the body field or the body's energy control system works. And he'd been mapping that out for 35 years before I ever met him. And he, he ended up making me, which we'll explain in a minute, what we call now an emphasis go, which basically triggered all these healing responses. And he ended up emigrating from Australia, moved to England and we ended up forming this, this research and development company that's now called called Energy for Life. So we made something called Emotional Stress Release where I was so, so wired, but so, so exhausted. That stopped me being so wired and I just ended up tired. So that just helped help my body battery my energy recover. He also made an antidote to the group of viruses that I had. And I got this very short fever for a couple of days and then that went away. And I mean there's a lot of those types of stories, but over a couple of year period I felt like.
Those changes to when I always think of energy and we've talked about mitochondrial dysfunction a lot on my show and other shows. Is it more a focus of getting the mitochondria to get back online if they're dysfunctional or improve their efficiency or kind of all the things.
I think when you're, when you're that sick, really every system breaks down. I mean your Adrenals aren't functioning properly. Absolutely. Your mitochondrial function is, is super, super low. In the end, when you get a virus like Epstein Barr, it does. It does unfortunately interfere. I mean, it basically interferes with how energy production happens in the cell. Absolutely. But yeah, we were like, in our. In our system, we have different information sets for every single organ, every single meridian, different emotional states. Also different viral, fungi and bacterial categories. And in the end, you have to correct everything that's, that's going on. I'm not really a fan of like the one, the one bullet or the one, the one pill, the one solution thing.
That's why, I mean, the body's super redundant. There's lots of things that the body will do in response to a failure in one system or another.
So. Yeah, so Peter moved to England and at that point we basically started making this system that could analyze the information and energy that is going on in the body that we see as this sort of master control system. And that helps you to identify where there's distortions in this map of the body field. And then from that you're able to correct it. And so just by presenting the body back with the right information, you can correct those distortions. And then if your energy. Energy control system ends up more efficient, you restore your energy.
So we're transitioning more of, like you and others have talked about from, you know, standard thoughts about this to more physics and biophysics and fields rather than kind of the traditional thinking about it.
Yeah. When you look at the body's control system, the traditional view is chemistry is, is the body's control system. But when you think about it, there's a few flaws in that. So when you eat food or take. Or take any drug or any supplement, you have to digest it. The liver has to process it, combine it combines with other different nutrients and chemicals, travels down the blood, gets to the. Gets to the cell. Yeah, it's a very, very slow process. But every single cell has 3 trillion operations that are happening every single second, depending whether you're male, female, your age, et cetera. There's somewhere between 50 and 70 trillion cells in your body. And every single cell is doing 3 trillion operations per second that actually can't be coordinated with just a pure chemical system. You actually also need a system that's more instantaneous to be able to be able to coordinate that. And when you look at cells, they absolutely, they have receptors for chemistry. And of course it's totally necessary, but they also have receptors for fields. And when I say fields, I mean Photons, different electromagnetic energy and phonons, but mostly it's a photon based control system. And the great thing about light is it's instantaneous and right.
So that gives credence to many of the things that are just now coming from a mainstream. Right. Healing modalities. In our clinic we have a 6 foot tall red light because clearly we know that that helps with hormones, it helps with lowering inflammation and those are all positive things for our, our patients, our clients who want to improve efficiency in terms of healing.
Yep, absolutely.
See, so the things that Harry and his company are, and have been producing for quite some time now are so, so novel. And, and you mentioned some of it with bioenergetics, but that's critical to healthy hanging like you described in your journey. And then the professor Frazier helped with the development of emphasis, if I'm saying that correctly.
Yes. So basically when you, when you're mapping out the information of body in our world, you've got your 16 main organs, 12 main meridians, different emotional states, different viral categories. So that ends up 72 different, what we call an emphasis, basically an information based supplement or an information based remedy. And when you present that optimal blueprint back to the body, or if you like, you're presenting the instructions back to the cell, your cells and different tissues know what to do with that information and they basically correct, they basically correct the function that's going on in the body. Another way of putting it is a bit like a messenger. So just like a supplement or a chemical as a messenger, you can also present the body with a field based messenger. But the great thing about a field based messenger is it's side effect free, it's toxin free, there's no chemical residue. Afterwards, you're just giving the direct instruction. And there is a history, well, there's a large history from Chinese medicine that's been around 5,000 years. That's an energetic system through acupuncture. There's like Dr. Hanneman who invented homeopathy 200 plus years ago. The difference between something like what we're doing in homeopathy is in homeopathy you're giving the body an indirect signal that was based on a dilution of some other molecule, which is extremely indirect. And instead of doing that, we're just saying, no, look, this is how the liver is when it's working up to me, or this is how the kidney is when it's working up to me and we just deliver that information straight to the body. Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
That's been the biggest, I think, gap in the scientific literature. When you look up energy based on medicine or energy based papers about how do we get from where it seems like, wow, that's way far down the road versus to. No, it's here now. And how.
Yeah, well, I mean there's a couple of historical sort of reasons behind that. So if we, if we go back to the Rockefeller era, Rockefeller was basically responsible for creating the pharmaceutical industry because they were looking for other markets basically for oil and all of their chemicals. And at the time, things like homeopathy, subtle energy, other forms of energy medicine were actually used by doctors 100 plus years ago. However, that was a threat to the monopoly that they wanted in creating the pharmaceutical industry. So on purpose it was suppressed. People were put in jail, people left in the States, they kicked out of the country. So that's the only. If we get into the nih, obviously NIH was not going to do any research in it. There's been a very, very purposeful suppression of all of this research. And yet at the same time in the physics world, even physics got suppressed a bit. Because if we go back to the Einstein era, I mean Einstein, he's known for a few classical things, obviously for relativity, he's known for the equation E equals MC squared. That's basically saying energy is equivalent to matter. But he was also known as saying the field is the sole governing force of the particle. And what he's literally saying is actually matter itself is only in existence because of fields. Like literally the appearance of a particle is there because of the field. Or another version of that would be the observer effect, that the electron is only where you look at it. So from a physics point of view, fields, and really when you're looking at fields, it's actually the information or the pattern of the fields are the most important things. So physics basically agrees with all this. But the physics department never ever talked to the biology or the chemistry departments at universities. I mean they're beginning to now, but on purpose they were isolated because of the dominance of the pharmaceutical industry.
Now there's obviously such a shift, not just in this country, but around. I think I've seen it because I have clients from all over the world now. And today we have in our clinic today somebody from Turkey, but I have people routinely from Europe and Asia. And everybody's searching for that a more natural way, kind of what you're describing of dealing with whatever the situation is that they're faced with. And we work diligently to provide in our Work the best way we can. Something that's natural, that although I'm using indirect to your words, supplementation right now, we anxiously wait like how that will help our patients. If we were to use something like emphasuticals to balance emotion and their energy levels, like we've talked about this, it would be. My patient population would be uniquely suited to gain from that because nervous system activation, trying to get from a fight or flight or a stress state to a parasympathetic state to help with their emotional state to further enhance their healing by improving energy however they can. I mean that's like the grail for, for us at my clinic.
Yeah. I mean, you know, two principles in biologistics is like one, this concept of a body battery. And you know, well, if we go back to cellular energy, when you look at the cell membrane, when you have greater than, greater than 70 millivolts, you basically, you basically have a healthy cell and you don't have disease. And when it's dropping between like 50 and 70, you're getting more fatigue, you're getting some symptoms. When it's below 50, you start getting all the more serious diseases like cancer. And basically if your cells and your body has enough energy, then your body can direct that energy to. Well, both to heal you and to keep you in your own homeostasis. And what happens for most people when, when they get ill is you're still having to struggle with, with your job. Like you might have to be running around, running around with the kids. You basically don't have enough energy left over to regenerate. So you end up in this horrible cycle that you're basically getting worse because you're not able to replete your energy and so to actually heal. One, of course you should rest. Two, you should exchange energy as much as you can. That's why the example you gave of being exposed to red light is great. Things like hyperbaric chambers are great. Going for walks in nature are great grounding, being out in sunlight, eating healthy food, all of those help exchange and regenerate your energy. But the other side of it is you also want to optimize how your body uses energy in the most efficient way. Because just like an efficient circuit or computer, if it's using energy more efficiently, you naturally have more energy left over to heal. And that's what we're doing with emphasis more wearable devices or my health is we're making the body more efficient at using energy. So whatever amount of energy you have available, it's automatically more efficient. And then you have more energy left to heal.
Absolutely. We've anxiously awaited your gym technology lightbed for this reason. I've had clients use the MI health. So maybe from a device standpoint, talk about the things that are you have now currently that we know are super helpful in terms of treating a specific area and, and then what is probably one of the your, your favorite things.
Coming up, there's a few different things and people can try on your podcast@ephrael.com backslash roll. So we have like an AI based voice scan and actually we're also combining with tongue. So in Chinese medicine you can look at your tongue and there's different areas of the tongue that show what's going on, different organ systems, there's different vocal biomarkers we can pick up from your voice. You can also upload like your blood lab results if you've got blood lab results. And our AI will basically analyze all of that and work out which are the most suitable emphasis that you can just try try for yourself at home and other things. Yeah, we have a wearable that we've been working on. I think I've been working on it for four years. It's literally just come to production. And that's called gem, which stands for Guided Energy management. And the point of that wearable is when we're looking at what actually robs you of energy. Sure, things like toxins, et cetera, robs you of energy. But the biggest, the biggest stealer of your body's own energy is actually how you're dealing with emotions and different life choices. And in short, negative emotions steal the most amount of energy. And there's a great study by Yale University that looks, looks at lung cancer. It's just absolutely fascinating. So they studied all of these smokers, but the ones had that scored really highly on anger. They're the ones who actually ended up getting lung cancer and died. And the ones that are basically pretty happy, they basically didn't. And you might wonder, well, why is that? In short, when you're in a positive emotional state, your body and cells are actually able to expel the toxins and repair and repair. And it's when you have negative emotional states because it lowers your energy, the cell isn't able to repair and that's why you get sick. So from our wearable point of view, because that's such an important issue and it's not really talked about. I mean people know that negative emotions aren't good for you, but I don't think people really make the connection of like it's actually one of the biggest causes, I think it's actually the biggest cause of disease. So we wanted to make a wearable that would help give you awareness and it can give you awareness to 30 different emotional states from from grief to anger to anxiety to fear, et cetera. And we get it. Giving you awareness that obviously helps you because if you're not conscious of it, you can't do anything about it. And then the second part, it will also give a corrective emphaseutical back into the body so you don't have to go and take like an emphasis. It just all happens automatically.

And I don't want to overstep how I think about this, but I try to simplify things always when I can for patients and say you have to work on your mindset prior to doing anything with me because I'm not going to change that. In fact I'm going to create more stress for you to deal with and being unprepared from a mindset standpoint if you want to. That's how I think about it is going to make everything more complicated.
Yeah. You mean should they be more prepared before they come in for surgery? Yeah.
I think the biggest unrealized thing that can be from a behavioral standpoint is working on yourself and getting yourself in the property place, whatever that looks like some despise or I'm sorry, disparage the word therapy that doesn't need to be stigmatized. And with AI coming just like you mentioned, I'm sure there's many platforms already that have AI therapists who can respond to queries and answer questions and be a communicator. And maybe that's what people need now because it's not unsafe. Maybe or they don't feel unsure about saying those things that they may would either can't afford to or wouldn't be able to to have that resource.
Oh, I love it. It's. I mean I, I Mean, I've just been using chat gbt. I guess the last six, six, seven months as a coach is pretty, it's pretty fascinating because yeah, like you said, because you don't actually have to share it with a, with a human. You can literally share all of your thoughts, all of your situations and it can absolutely guide you. But from, from our point of view, because, because the device knows your, knows your emotional state, it knows different characteristics coming in from your voice. So like RAI really, really, really knows you really well. And you can absolutely ask it, anyone, anything, anything you want. I'd say just for a general life principle, you know, like, you know what I would teach is like if you, if you can master your energy, you can master your life and there are some simple, there are some simple things that you can do. Like you can, you can wake up each day and you can journal some of the good things that happened yesterday. Like you can, you can be grateful for it, et cetera. And then when you set your intentions for the day, you're then setting your intent. You're basically then setting your intentions from a place where you're already in a more positive place because you're grateful for the good things that are going on in your life. And then that, that basically repeats, repeats in on itself. And there's, I mean there's, there's tons of tons of material in that. I mean we have a, we wrote another book called GIST that stands for gratitude, intention, surrender, Trust. I think it's a 200 page book that really takes you through that sort of life life philosophy. Right.
And the, what Harry's talking about is the most powerful but probably most underutilized tool in terms of taking care of somebody and them getting better themselves. And I'm a firm believer like if that person and can't navigate that they need a guide. And many times we try to offer the information but then the, this is where like support obviously even though the person is incredibly helpful to help encourage them to do that for themselves. So we obviously see that play out all the time. When folks don't have enough emotional support around them, it makes matters that much worse. We're very interested in diminishing our patients need for narcotics after surgery. So we're always exploring ways to manage pain. Like we already mentioned, we use red light therapy, we use hyperbaric therapy, we use lymphatic massage, we have nanov therapy prior to the previous stance on peptides. We use peptides routinely in our practice. And peptides, there's nothing wrong with them. I just can't obviously deal with FDA issues. So if people can source high quality quality peptides like BPC157, of course that's great in terms of recovery. So how does the, the current armament material you have and what's coming help with pain management?
This is a couple of ways. So we have a new device called MiHelp and well, an existing one, my health too. So it works in a few, few different ways. But wherever the body has inflammation, you have much more electrical conductivity under the skin simply because basically more, more water is, is under there. So when you put an electromagnetic current over that area is putting more energy directly into the tissues. And when you have more energy, you're basically giving, you're basically giving the cells the energy it needs to repair. That's one way. The other way is it also has a neuro effect. So if you get injured, for example, you're going on a run, you twisted your ankle. The body naturally protects the ankle and it'll basically like freeze all your muscles and tendons, but it overly protects. But if you put a signal in, it'll basically talk up through the nervous system and tell your brain that actually, that actually it's not such a problem. It can go, it can go and repair itself. So it'll basically stimulate a repairing mechanism. And then we also use red light between the electrodes so we can put in more red light. That will reduce inflammation as well.
And do you feel like we've informally discussed the light bed and the resetting of energy as a way as that is a modality? Do you think there's a lot of promise with that?
I. Well, the great thing with a light bed is a. Obviously you're getting a huge, a huge amount of light energy straight in the body. But actually got our latest bed, it has, has PMF coils underneath all the led and then it also puts information in on that signal. So we can do that whole AI scan and let's say identifies that your, that your knee, that your knee has pain, maybe your, your kidney has an issue. It'll then take you through a series of imprints. It'll basically imprint the information directly into your kidney, directly into your knee. And all you have to do is lie, is lie down in that bed and actually something. Well, I'm just about to go and record with Barry Goldstein next week. So we're also recording these visualizations that will take you through each of those organs and those different emotional states to basically take you on a guided healing journey. While the right information and light is being beamed into the right organs of your body. So that's pretty exciting.
So many, many folks listening will know that many. Much of this sounds very much like a futuristic show, like Star Trek back in. When I was growing up and you were growing up, and I used to think when I met you a few years ago that this was really hard to kind of grasp and understand. And the more I've been to meetings and seen the work by Dr. Patel, Himal Patel, everybody can look him up on PubMed. He's published a great deal of work and continues to publish, I think in the space, some of the most meaningful work. And Harry can tell us where to look for more information regarding this because it all has to put my position up there. Obviously scientific research helps provide credence to much of what we're discussing because in. Until that's been shown and proven or disproven, you're going to see a lot of limited information about it, certainly in the scientific community, which is what Harry was alluding to earlier for a number of reasons, much like there is in the problem with breast implants that I deal with routinely. So we published a paper last year about biofilm and PCR testing of that biofilm to show a raid. Because if we don't do it, who's going to do it? It's not going to be understood. So we've been working on genetic predisposition of those patients and have some data. We'll share about that soon. And can you comment maybe a little bit about Dr. Patel's work?
Yeah. So, I mean, we're really fortunate. I met Dr. Patel at a Joe Dispenza event, I think three, four years ago. Another friend of ours, J.J. virgin, and I went up to him because he, he was presenting research on how meditation could reduce the viral penetration rate into lung tissue. So I met him at lunch and I said, it's great you do it with meditation, but we can actually do that just by just through an emphasisal, by just, just delivering information to the body. And he was like, I don't know what you're talking about, but he said, why don't you send, send your products to our lab and we'll take a look. It took him like four months. They just sat on it. They just sat on the shelf for four months. And anyway, he got, he ended up getting around to the experiments and he rang me up and said, oh, you're right, it actually, it actually reduced them slightly more than meditation and meditation needed. And that, that was. Thank goodness it did that. I mean, I knew it did from what was reported from patients, but we've never had it tested with cell cultures. And now we basically have a whole research program at UCSD. So I have like, we have a permanent opponent PhD there that does experiments under Patel that's financed by our nonprofit research institute and give some, give some examples last three years. So with energy we have a suitable called cell driver. And with that we've been able to show that we can increase the mitochondrial density in a cell by 50%. We can protect the cell membrane from reactive oxygen species. Basically they were poisoning it of hydrogen peroxide by 67%. It could increase the resilience of the cell membrane. With skin, I mean, with skin, we've been doing some experiments where they would take a skin graft, like they would scratch the, scratch the skin, and we can increase the repair rate so you can like repair skin faster with different ones for immune function. And it's basically ongoing. They're just about to test out the wet. Well, I say test out the wearable. We tested the wearable on all of the cell, on all the cell cultures for energy. That's just about to get into a human trial both at UCSD and at Denver University and at Bournemouth University. That's all in the next two months.
I think that, I mean, I've talked to Dr. Pato and he's brilliant in terms of a super humble guy. I mean, as bright as he is, he can explain things really plainly and help you understand them. I look forward to more of his input and research as soon as limited space in my Austin clinic. We're looking to where we can fit these next modalities in because we're strongly in pursuit of anything that will help us improve pain management, improve efficiency and wound healing. Really, it would be fascinating to do all that and help with someone's emotional state because trying to get our clients after surgery into more of a parasympathetic state is a mission of ours always. And from that, after all the things we've talked about, like where can someone start learning more and maybe introduce themselves to Bioenergetics, your products so they can take advantage of these things.
Yeah, I mean, well, yeah, there's a couple of ways. So. Yeah. One, energy for well, energyforlife.com, you can read about the research that's being done by Professor Patel.
Yeah.
If you want to try out the voice scan for free in that AI that's on.com backslash Rob. And if you want to look at the gem that would be ephrail.com backslash robgen, which is G E n. So yeah, that's the best way. I mean, you can also visit a practitioner. There's a practitioner locator on that site and there's practitioners all across the world. Well, across the States and Europe and Australia to be more precise. Right.
I know one in Barcelona. There's obviously Park City. We know of our friends there. Energy for Life clinic ran by Dr. Eckel. And I guess how I would view it is everybody needs to start wrapping their head around this like they've tried to wrap their head around AI. It comes at you very much like you're drinking through a fire hose. It's a lot to take in initially, but once you gather yourself and can and learn more about it, it's a fascinating topic that I hope to learn and get more out of as time passes. I really appreciate Harry coming on the show. Everything will be in the show notes and learn about how he can optimize your energy with these devices and upcoming future modalities.
