In this solo vlog, Rob Greenlee provides a status update on his 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid, which he has owned since summer 2006 and has now logged about 57,000 miles. He walks viewers through the exterior and interior, shows the dashboard mileage, and reports real‑world fuel economy of roughly 34‑40 mpg despite Seattle’s hilly terrain. Greenlee notes that the hybrid’s battery and electric drive system are still performing well, mentions routine synthetic‑oil changes, and describes a minor steering‑column recall that was repaired. He points out the battery pack’s location under the trunk floor but does not open it. Overall, he expresses strong satisfaction with the vehicle’s reliability and durability, anticipates future Camry model updates, and hints at his upcoming interest in fully electric cars, inviting viewers to comment.

Hello, this is Rob Greenlee coming to you with another episode of Behind the Wheel. And what I wanted to share with you, and I promised this quite a few months ago, that I was gonna make another episode of my multi-part series on the Toyota Camry. And just wanted to just do a round of the car and show you kind of where I'm at right now, because I've had the car since since summer of 2006, and it's a 2007 Toyota Camry. And I just wanted to show you the condition of the engine so you have some idea of what it looks like after a couple years. It's had a little, little wear and tear on it. I've got about 57,000 miles on the car, and, but believe me, I've had very little problems with the car itself. It's run very, very well. The mileage continues to be between 35 and 40 miles per gallon, and I live in the Seattle area, so there's a fair amount of hills around, but not an overly, you know, amount of hills. So I get pretty good mileage. I get, you know, the car drives on the electric power quite a bit, and the car seems to be holding up really well. So if you wanted to buy a Toyota Camry Hybrid, I think you'd be pretty happy happy with it. So that's kind of the outside of the car and what it looks like. I'm just in a parking lot in the evening in Seattle. You can see the car here. So what I was going to do is I was just going to get in the car so you could see the mileage on it and I could tell you a little bit more about the car. So here, let me show the dashboard a little bit. And I don't know if you can read that or not, but I've got about 57,000 miles on it, and the battery in the vehicle seems to be holding up really well on the electrical side, and the car seems to be doing well. You can see the average tank Mile per gallon is about 34 or so, and the car seems to be holding up really well. I've just done regular oil changes. I'm actually putting in synthetic oil in the car, and hopefully that'll make it last a lot longer. I did recently have to have— there was a recall, I guess, on the steering wheel column, but that seemed to be a fairly minor thing. We just brought that in and they replaced that. So, but the car seems to be running really well. I don't notice any problems with the transmission or any issues with it having any problems at all, you know, with the Synergy Drive. I think that Toyota's really done a good job over the years of really kind of refining that. I'm sure that in the 2008 and the 2009 and the coming 2010 version of the Camry, and who knows, there may even be a new body style come out for the 2010. I don't think we've seen that quite yet, but it'll be interesting to see that. But that's, that's my follow-up to the Toyota Camry, and like I said, I'm really happy with it. It's been a really good car for us over the last, what, 2 years? Actually, it's close to 3 years, I guess, now. So I wouldn't worry a whole lot about the, the battery pack piece. You know, I know I was a little bit nervous about that. Let me go in the trunk and you can see what that looks like. So the actual battery pack is, is actually right there, right underneath that that large area right there. Let me see if I can pop that up and you can actually see what that looks like. I don't know if I can get it back together again. Let's see, it looks a little bit too difficult to open up, plus it's a little dark in there, so I'm not gonna do that. So, but that's the, that's the car. Thanks for watching, and I think I'm coming up on about 5 minutes on the video, and I think that's plenty of recording for YouTube. So if you happen to go out and buy a Toyota Camry— and I appreciate all the comments that I've gotten on my first, I think it is, 3 videos that I've made about the Toyota Camry Hybrid. And it's been a, been a really interesting discussion that's gone on in the comments below my video. So if you have any other comments please post them just below this video. So take care, and I'll hopefully at some point— I'm planning on getting myself a 100% electric car at some point, and I'll continue to make some videos on that too. So take care, everybody. Thanks for watching. Bye.
